<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>When DeSagana Diop was toiling in a Cleveland Cavaliers uniform he was seen as a “bust”, a lottery pick who had let his admitted love of ”wings, fried food and beef” get in the way of his career. But after a hard summer working out in Cherry Hill (!), he turned his body and his career around, culminating in a memorable overtime duel against Tim Duncan two years ago. Now, he is both the sleeper and keeper in the Mavs trade, one the Nets may have trouble finding minutes and money for.

When most people are labelled busts, they often give up trying to improve like Kwame Brown.

Diop trained hard and got to be a starter which was well deserved.

If you take a look at a picture when he first came into the NBA in 2001, and compare it with a picture of him now, it's like a Jenny Craig commercial, before and after.

Wow. That was a freaking long article.

I hope Diop gets some PT, he could be really good for us.

My favorite part of the article:

true, he had about a good 4 minutes of tough defense on duncan in that series but duncan still went off the other 5 and 3/4 games, its just Netincome again

Duncan's point totals in that series:

    31, 28, 35, 31, 36, 24, 41

That's an average of 32+ per game, more than his regular season average.
