Apparently, there are a few teams that show interest in Brent Barry. Brent publicly stated he wants to join a winning team, thus limiting his choices to the Lakers, Celtics, or Spurs. The Spurs would have to wait 30 days to resign him, so you can take them off the list. So it's between the Lakers and Celtics. I don't know how to put articles up, so can someone source me here?

I would rather sign another big like Jamaal Maglorie, who is also available. Barry would be nice, but we really don't have any minutes available for him. Kobe will be playing for the majority of the game, and Sasha has been doing great as his backup. We don't really need him, but I guess I wouldn't mind if he came cheap

So he would be of some use but maybe adding some depth to cover for Bynum would not be a bad idea either.
I wouldn't mind him. He gives us a veteran player, which is good come playoff time. He also gives us another shooter, which again, you can never have enough. However, I'd rather snag another big if it's at all possible. We're still pretty thin in our frontcourt, and you can never have enough big men, especially in the West. Plus, come playoff time, he'd be another 6 fouls to use on Shaq or Duncan, or any other big who can't consistently hit a FT.

Also, he's familiar with the system and the players there so he might not want to move. Also, the Spurs just won it last year, and they have just as good a chance. I know the west looks stacked and San Antonio looks like it's not going to make much noise, but that's how they've been every year so this is a destination that is surely a top choice for Barry.

He better get back in action quickly.
