<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>MINNEAPOLIS – Jason Kidd was expecting an earful from coach Avery Johnson, but not for one of the usual reasons. It wasn't because Kidd had a defensive miscue or a silly turnover. It's because Kidd isn't shooting enough. He heaved just four shots at Memphis on Friday, making one. "I'll hear about that," Kidd said. "I understand at some point I have to put the ball in the basket to make this team better because they're eventually going to dare me to shoot. I've been in the league long enough to understand that." Johnson simply wants Kidd to play his brand of basketball. And that will always start with setting up teammates. But it would be a disservice to Kidd not to utilize all of his talents, which include posting up and penetrating as well as passing. "The idea is to get the ball in his hands," Johnson said. "Perhaps a little more movement from time to time, but even if we don't, he's just got to create for us. And he creates in a lot of ways, with the pass, with penetration and with his postups." Johnson said Kidd probably has tried to set up his new teammates too frequently in the first two games, perhaps to get them comfortable playing with him. "We're beyond that now," Johnson said.</div> Source
Thats the last thing they want. Unless Kidd is wide open, he should not take the shot, even than its a toss up if it goes in.
