Link: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Gooden said it would take time for him and Hughes to have ''chemistry'' with their teammates, but Sunday it looked like having Hughes and Gordon in the backcourt together probably won't work well. ''I plan to start,'' Hughes said. ''I've been comfortable in a starting role for some time now. And I like to be on the court. I can play 35-40 minutes. I'm comfortable playing those minutes. I've always been looked at as a guard with size. I'm willing to play more than one position. I definitely think I can bring some confidence -- and confidence can take you a long way. ''That helps any team. I think we need a boost, some size, some scoring, some defensive presence, anything I can bring to the table.''</div> <span style="color:#008000">Ahem.... that sort of talk (generally labeled "out of turn") always goes over well with the Bulls.</span>
Larry Hughes was a $15 million a year doormat in Cleveland for two and a half years. He was worse there then Ben Wallace was over here. I don't think he's better than either Ben or Kirk either. I'm not sure if you were joking or not, but I really wouldn't mind it if he just got injured so we didn't have the rotation issues we have right now.
That didn't take long. Whatever, he will do fine with the me first non-stars that have become the hallmark of Bulls 08.

Name them.</div> Without looking at stats, I'd say Ben Gordon, Larry Hughes, and Kirk Hinrich (a close call between him and Deng). Am I right?
Gordon, Deng, Hughes. I am very high on the three getting big minutes for that reason alone. The Bulls simply haven't been much fun to watch in recent seasons, and it's gone downhill. Mostly because of the team's lack of scoring and tending to run plays for a PJ Brown or Malik Allen (who are hard to root for) to get open 17 footers.
I wouldn't mind starting him. He's played well so far, and I still think he can produce in the league. Plus, it'd give us a bigger guard in the lineup and prevent Kirk from having to guard someone that's much bigger than him. I say why not, not much else has worked this season, might as well see what happens.
I still prefer having Thabo start. Hughes is okay but I don't see the Bulls resigning him 2 years from now, when he's 31.
