    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Graham Flashner/RealGM -
Kobe Bryant and the Lakers defeated the Clippers 113-95 to win their seventh straight game.

After the game, RealGM's Graham Flashner asked Bryant if he could have ever envisioned the Lakers being where they were at this point in time, and he shook his head.

“I think they had me buying [Michael Jordan’s] house in Chicago,” Bryant said, only half-jokingly.

Turning serious, Bryant said, “It worked out for the best. I didn’t want to leave here. Circumstances being what they were, it was very difficult to see myself still being here, but I’m very thankful that it did work out. Everything happens for a reason.”</div>

    Dearest Kobe,
There is a difference between "didn't" and "don't".

I think he realizes that. It's possible he asked for a trade w/o wanting to leave.

I think Kobe meant he wanted to stay because he likes the place, but wanted to leave because of the situation the team was in.

I would like to see Kobe come out and apologize for his actions, but this is good enough, I guess...

He had a very good point at the time, he doesn't want to waste his prime on a scrub team the way Moss didn't want to sacrifice his 23 TD season for the Raiders. It's nothing personal, they both just want to win.

Kobe didn't know the owners would act like such pussies about the Luxury Tax thereby giving LA Gasol.
