Both Tyrus and Noah didn't play very well, while Gooden did, so I assume this opens the door for Gooden to take a starting position. Tyrus will probably come off the bench because of his size.
Here's our new big 3: Gordon 25 points Gooden 17 points Hughes 14 points I think they're going to get a lot better once they get used to playing together. Gordon played about 30 minutes of PG tonight. ZERO turnovers. People were constantly saying he can't play PG because he'd turn it over too much. I never bought that argument... I'm not down on this team right now. I chalk up the losses (close ones, too) to the new guys not being used to the system and their new teammates (and vice versa). Deng's rusty, but I think he'll play himself back into great shape and be his usual self. Bulls need to keep playing Gordon at PG, IMO, and get the bigs setting picks. Bulls were great at attacking the rim tonight - a big difference in their usual play. 29 FTA to Dallas' 17.

Even though we've lost the last two games, we've been pretty competitive against some darn good teams. And in general, we've just looked better. I'd always thought Drew Gooden would do well on this team, and his play so far hasn't made me think that I'm wrong. My expectations for Larry Hughes have been low, but he's looked like he's pretty playable. I still fail to see how we sort out the rotation at this point in the season, but I think I like our team better now than last week.
The new guys could come in high-stepping on a road paved with babies and I'd probably still like them better than Wallace. But yeah, I agree in general with the sentiment. In theory I really like the idea of Hughes as the slashing guard meshing with Gordon's lights out shooting. In practice it's not quite there yet.
