First off, Avery waited too late to put Kidd and Dirk back. Then he takes the ball away from Kidd. And to top it all, he takes Kidd out on a crucial situation?! This is a big problem. If Avery's ego gets out of hand, the Mavs are in trouble. The Mavs could have had this game. I think Avery's message is clear, He runs the show. Not good.

Even the announcers said something along the lines of this: "Kidd was brought here for moments like this." (referring to the close game with 2 mins to go.) And what do you do, take him out? Avery went for his Lawrence Frank impersonation.

 

I think Cuban should step in now. He's got to control Avery. The Mavs just have a small window and Avery's ego trip will only make that window smaller.
