It's amazing what Kobe can do with that finger and all.

    Odom has disappeared offensively.

So basically this is what I want to reiterate:

Luke Walton is garbage, and Fisher has to watch out for his spot. Farmar could start on this team.

I don't think Fisher has to worry this season. I honestly think he's been our glue guy, much like Walton was last year. Plus, we're going to need his experience come playoff time.

Yeah you're probably right because Farmar has had stamina problems this month. He's only recently recovering and Fish has the playoff experience.

However, Fisher's production is also slowly falling; he's a hog. I expect Farmar to overtake him sometime in the near future.

The +/- numbers slightly favor Fish, and since Farmar is a capable backup, I'll give D the edge for now.

Oh believe me, I full expect Farmar to be our PG of the future, maybe as early as next year. But, it's just not going to happen this year. As much as I love him, I think Fisher gives us a better chance right now simply because of his experience, and that's something we'll need come playoff time.

That reminds me, why'd you kill your Farmar sig? You should at least have something else to replace it.

    Just wondering.

I didn't kill it actually. One day, it just stopped working. It was just showing as a hyperlink in my sig, so I deleted it out. I think I still have the picture itself on my computer so I'm gonna try and get it back up, but that's why. I loved the sig.

Have I said before that I hate Derek Fisher? I can't stand that jacker, I don't even know why he starts.

Luke Walton? Wtf happened to this guy? He was shooting so well last season. He's not even a shadow of the player he was last season...

Odom, he's playing ghost again. I really think we need to unload him next season for a more consistent big man even if its just 10/10 a game.

Glad our bench pulled through. man, I was getting scared the first 3 quarters. I wish I didn't work during all these games! At least I have a month vacation in June so I wont miss the Lakers in the finals! [IMG]

that 10/10 guys should be worth only around 5 - 6M LOL... So we could shave off 6M from odom's contract off the books.

Trench, I've been an Odom hater myself but just look at his numbers in February. 60% Field Goal Percentage, Over 50% from 3-point range. 15-12-4.5.... He's come into his own with Gasol.

Odom was in foul trouble all game, he didn't get a chance to get into the flow of the game. Not his fault.

I'm not a hater, Im just saying if he's going to keep pulling disappearing acts, he not worth 16 milion he's getting paid. We are better off with a consistent big. I'd be happy with 10/10 every night.

Yes, prior to this game he's been playing well. I have not watched many games since Gasol was aquired due to my work schedule. Actually, I've watched only 2 since the trade! [IMG]

Trench, the thing is, he didn't pull a disappearing act. He picked up 3 fouls in the first quarter pretty much, and then picked up his 5th foul something like 40 seconds into the 2nd half. Some of them were bad calls, some were good. The foul trouble didn't allow him to get into any sort of flow.

Yup, I wouldn't harp on Odom for this game. With so many fouls and calls not going his way, it's difficult to be aggressive without taking the risk that you'll foul out of the game. We needed him tonight and couldn't take that chance. And he still managed to pull down 11 boards. The Blazers were completely outrebounding us when he wasn't on the floor.

As for Farmar starting over Fish, does it really matter? They pretty much split the minutes anyways, with the hotter player that night seeing more time. Farmar is most likely our PG of the future and will start for many years, so I have no problem letting Fish start for the couple good years he has left. The reason he left us in the first place was because he couldn't start over Gary Payton, only to get screwed over by Baron Davis and Deron Williams anyways. We can't do that to him again. Need we remind ourselves we had Smush starting for us for two years? Anyway you cut it, Fish is a huge upgrade. I'm sure Farmar doesn't mind being the mob leader a little while longer. When Ariza and Radman come back, our second unit will be as exciting as ever.

I agree it isn't a huge issue, but they do not split the minutes down the middle. Fish plays 27 minutes a game, Farmar gets 21.

Also, if Fish does become clearly inferior to Farmar we should cut his minutes accordingly, no mercy.

I think I'm too strict to be a coach. I'd play Fisher the first 5 minutes of the quarter and let Farmar finish out the last 7 and then the first 7 of 2nd quarter. 14 minutes for Farmar and 10 minutes for Fisher, a half.
