<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>In comments to reporters after his first practice with the Mavs, Jamaal Magloire expressed surprise and a bit of wonder as to why he didn’t play in New Jersey. He did sign a $4 million contract last summer. ”I worked tremendously hard,” said the 6′-11″ Magloire. “There’s no reason why I wasn’t playing up there. I’m still curious as to why.” Magloire played in only 24 games after never having a DNP-CD previously.</div> Magloire joins the fun - Art Garcia - Dallas Mavericks Magloire hopes to seize his chance with the Dallas Mavericks - Eddie Sefko - Dallas Morning News Magloire and more - Michael Grange - From Deep Maybe it's cause he wasn't all that good, and Frank has an odd man-crush on Malik. maybe because you suck? one thing you cannot hate on magloire for was his attitude, even when we sucked and he got zero time, did he ever complain? nope
I don't think he was really given the opportunity to prove anything which is disappointing. Thats the biggest problem with Frank, he doesn't give players much of any opportunity. Pulls them out if they make a mistake, and if they aren't instantly producing they're benched. Seems like it takes awhile for a player to actually earn his trust, but how can Magloire even start to prove anything given his circumstances. I wouldn't be surprised if and when we play Dallas, that Avery plays Magloire and he dominates us. I'm hoping that he gives Swift minutes and a legit chance to make himself part of the team... it'd be really disappointing if he's going to be the next Magloire.

"Jamaal Magloire, who was glued to the bench even after Erick Dampier fouled out in LA, is getting his first playoff time as a Mav. His first touch turned into a Damp-like turnover when a nice pass from Jerry Stackhouse clanked off his hands." http://mavsblog.dallasnews.com/

From the other thread: Oh I forgot to mention. I don't know if anyone was the first quarter but when I was watching the first quarter the Mavs were getting pounded, down by 20. So they brought in Jamaal Magloire. First play he's in, no joke, someone passes him the ball and he fumbles it out of bounds. I couldn't help but just laugh.
