Bulls jump out to a 20 pt lead. The starters in the 2nd half have basically given up most of that lead. Bulls went almost 4 minutes in Q3 without scoring before Hughes split a pair of FTs. Wizards went to Zone D and the Bulls dribbled all around it and turned it over a bunch of times. 6:28 left, Hinrich out, Gordon in. Announcers mention last game (Indy), Hinrich didn't get back in. It's now a 1 point game.
Wizards are making every shot they take, or getting 2nd chance baskets the few times they miss. Bulls fall down 3 before they attack the zone and score, then Deng steals and scores on the fast break to give the Bulls the lead again.
71-66 after 3. Outscored 35-14 by the Wizards that quarter. OK, Bulls lucked out. Last second dunk by the Wizards was not counted. 69-66
They're double teaming Gordon even when he doesn't have the ball. Amusing. Bulls down 7, and not looking like they're in this. Wizards are getting all the loose balls.
Gordon stole the ball and passed upcourt to Nocioni. Noc just posterized Pecherov with a power dunk over him. 75-72, Bulls starting to look alive.
Gordon's missed 3 straight shots. Last one was a 4 point turnaround, basically. Hinrich back in, Where's hughes? Hinrich hits the open 3, 1 point game!
Twice now, Gordon's made excellent entry pass to Noah about 4 ft from the basket, only to have Noah pass out from the lane.
^^^ That and brother Abraham has been in foul trouble all game. Washington looks big next to us... seems like Gray should have gotten more minutes.
Nocioni and Deng both 3-4 this Q, but it's Hinrich taking the shots. He hit a bigtime 3, but Washington is scoring every time down and we're not.
Bulls almost come up with the big defensive play. Ball ends up in Jamison's hands for an uncontested dunk. Brother Abe fouled him anyway. 3 point play, game over, basically. Gordon forces up a 3 (time running out) to try and get the game close again. It's over.
