Devin said he was never given a chance to play like Kidd or Nash in Dallas. He wants to average more assists, and yet he's playing like a shooting PG. Obviously we got the message that he can score, but how about doing something else for the team? Harris needs to step it up in other aspects of the game.

this is the thing I love his shooting stroke but people got carried away w/ his arrival I said he isn't that great, he is good but Marcus Williams is the better PG, there were 4 times I saw Devin bring the ball up take his 3 pointer or throw it to Hassell instead of hitting RJ cutting to the hoop or hitting Boone who probably would have missed for an easier basket, there was a 3 on 1 instead of driving it to the hoop he left Marcus w/ an in betweeen shot, there was another one after he hit 3 3's he looked for the arc and VC was wide open running down court, I said it once I'll say it again good shooter not great but Marcus is the better PG IMO because the ball moves !!!

his strong points are his defensive ability, his quickness, scoring ability and overall uptempo style...
His weaknesses are his shooting and his passing.

He's a streaky shooter...he's only played in two games just yet so it would be best give him the rest of the season to prove shooting is indeed one of his strong points, because the facts are in Dallas he was streaky...even looking at his shot, it isn't consistent.

Um this may just be my opinion but maybe he's shoot first at the moment because we don't have a single person outside of vince who hits jump shots.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking too.

I mean, what's he gonna do otherwise? Pass to RJ so he could brick it? Or Hassel, so he could travel? Oh no, send it to Diop or Boone. They'll do nothing with it. Even better: Krstic! He can airball it!

IMO Devin is simply doing what he feels is best for the team. And right now, we need someone who can score...and Devin's scoring. Real good.

Marcus the better PG? [IMG] We had a post previous post on how Marcus is a ball hog. You can't be a ball hog and be a good ball hog. Marcus wants to be able to put the ball on the floor and create for himself like RJ and VC and that's not his game yet. He is a better spot up jumper. I think he had 1 or 2 assist tonight. On an average, he doesn’t get that many assist. He played great in Devin's first game, until Devin came in. When Marcus came in after Devin the first time he just started throwing up shots. By the 4th quarter, VC would not even let him bring down the ball. It was stupid for Frank to start Marcus against Parker, there is no way he could defend him. Devin knows his game way better. It shows what a stupid ass coach he is.

He isn't a pure PG. Don't know if Frank wants him to play SG in the long run. Well, he was the best slasher in Dallas. I'm confident he will keep going to the rim.

    ?

That's probably because we rarely got out on the fast breaks yesterday. Because we sucked on defense.
