First let me say that I'm happy to have Harris and am more excited now than I was a month ago. That being said...

Does anyone think Harris' defense will improve as he plays more games and gets back into game shape? He's not bad defensively, but he's not as good as advertised. I know Parker burns everyone but he had no trouble getting around Harris yesterday. Hopefully, Harris will gain more of his lateral quickness back as he plays.

I think it's improve as he logs more minutes, he hadn't played in a while. And he'll also look better once he learns how he can play off his teammates. Like if he's on the court with Sean or Diop, he can play a bit more in the passing lane knowing they are back to protect the basket, more so than if Krstic were on the court.

You can tell he has good instincts but his legs aren't there yet to keep up.

As he stayed in the court longer he gave up trying to close out, most likely he was tired.

He is a good vocal leader where he knows what is going on and such.

Once his legs are back, he should improve.

Yeah, he just got back from injury so he needs another game or two to get back to his original defensive form. Even though his legs have not kept up with him yet, mentally he is doing a great job defensively. He forces the opposing guards into working more to get their shot off, and when a player blows by him, Harris leads the player into a shotblocker like Diop.
