Man, Serra got destroyed but that was expected. Who I was really impressed with was Bisping, dude was vicious and Mccarthy just stood there and ate it

    Observations...

...the crowd was the best at a UFC event I can remember. Loud throughout, cheered good performances, didn't boo ground work, and broke out singing and chants during the Bisping fight and GSP fight. Nicely done.

...I gave Kalib Starnes the benefit of the doubt when Kendall Grove pummeled him on TUF. Now I realize Kalib has no heart. Good riddance.

...in contrast, Jon Goulet has loads of heart but he doesn't have the talent to be a factor in the welterweight division.

...Jason "Dooms-" Day beat Alan Belcher--that was a surprise. Still haven't seen the fight.

...GSP vs. Serra looked like a middleweight against a pudgy lightweight. Serra was in trouble before the first round began.

...Kenny Florian and Mike Goldberg did a great job. Best job from Goldy in many moons.

...Demian Maia is slick. I can't wait to see how he handles a striker with take down defense. Future title contender?

    ...Nate Quarry is hilarious.

    ...Travis Lutter's cardio is terrible.

That Kalib Starnes fight was the funniest thing ive seen in UFC in a while, what was up with Starnes anyways. I think its safe to say he wont have anymore fights in the near future

beyond the Starnes fight, I thought all fo the fights were good.

how could you not like the Boeck vs Danzig fight? Boeck is a tough dude.
Bisping looked great and charles.. well charles needed to go for more takedowns rather than turtling and eating knees.
Lutter was gassed, but it didn't look like Franklin was much more energized than Lutter as Lutter had his arms by his side and Franklin couldn't muster up a flurry to end it. I was wondering why the announcers never mentioned that...

ahhh great to GSP fight the way he should be fighting... I don't like Fitch's chances at all.

p.s. if anyone finds the undercard fights.. hit me up with a PM. Daily motion doesn't have'em yet.

After rewatching the Serra/St. Pierre fight I was shocked and amused by the chant the crowd breaks out at about 1:30 left in the 2nd round. I knew the crowd would be hostile initially to Serra, but a "Fuck You, Serra!" chant was a surprise, LOL.

    Bisping looks wild at 185.

Looked lean, fit, quick and didn't appear to loose ANY strength.

Also seems like he's learned a lesson from the backlash he took after the Hamil and Evans fights. He was respectful to Chuck McCarthy afterwards and came across as the decent guy he was on TUF.

Another fight or two like that and the UFC will get their wish; another big name to feed to Anderson.

I wasn't too surprised, Montreal is big with the WWE, and those types of chants are prevelant at WWE events, just carried over to the UFC too it looks like.
THe crowd was brilliant and not biased towards Canadian fighters. They cheered the guys who wanted to fight and showed class towards Serra.. then again how can you not like Serra!
