NACHBAR... is suppose to be a spot up shooter... and RJ has his days... my point is that frank didnt have em properlly prepared for the zone... even the players admitted to not being ready to playing against the zone... all their sets were for man - man defense.

This team has no Ray Allen, no Michael Redd, no Mike Miller... Hell we don't even have a guy on the team like a Steve Kerr. You be effective in this league you need to have have two-three players who can hit clutch shots from long range, we don't have that... Back in those early years we had guys on the team who could stretch the defense and made teams play us man to man... In 2001-2002 we had Kerry Kittles, Luscious Harris and KVH who were consistent threats after we traded KVH and To Maculloch to the 76ers for Mutombo we signed Rodney Rogers to replace him. we haven't had that since the 2003-2004. Since those years we haven't had consistent shooters.

It takes 5 guys to get it right. I've heard the guys say that same thing before and also comment that they went over it in practice beforehand so they felt they had no real excuse. I also hear a lot of "we need to stick with the game plan" a lot lately. Meaning we have some rogue players that don't know what to do and are freelancing. Expected I guess with all the new faces.

That would make sense since they are all mostly new. I think that's part and the other part is that they feel they need to take more on their shoulders since we have so few scorers or creators.
well if the players arent listening... maybe its time for a coaching change... i just dont see us going anywhere with frank coaching... i mean i dont think we are title contenders but i mean we dont make the shots that need to be made... and our defense... both individually and team defense is horrible and i hate how we go like 6-10 mins with a FG
i'm part of the group that blames frank. I'm not saying magliore would have been an allstar but i think we should have at least been able to get some production out of him if he played. it also doesn't help that it's a recurring theme with frank and some players. nachbar didn't play at all the rest of the season when nets acquired him. how many times have we been posting that he needs to play marcus or boone or sean williams. I think he relied too heavily upon the big 3. and i'm sick and tired of seeing our bigs out there for the sole purpose of settings screens. it's such a waste.
