Not quite on that scale. As annoyed as we are at Kidd right now we still appreciate what he did for the franchise.

Next time Kidd plays here I doubt you'll be hearing boos from the fans everytime he touches the ball, let alone 3 years from now. Wonder what that says about Raptor fans?

He's doing that with the Mavericks. He said he's working on his shot since he got to Dallas... working out with Dirk.

I don't think there is one person that wouldn't want to shoot a high percentage, but it requires more off court work than getting rebounds and assists (at least for Kidd).

Deep down I actually think Kidd wanted to see the team lose while he gathered his stats. It reinforced his position that there was nothing more he can do for the Nets all while showing he still was valuable to other teams.

I love the guy for what he did for the Nets, but this year he was an ass that wanted a change of scenery and he sabotaged his team to get out.</div>

It's hard to put up stats, or have the desire to without it positively influcencing the game. Like I said it's like a contradiction.

While I realize he's a jerk for doing what he did after signing his deal, and he's a shady guy off the court, but it goes beyond to suggest he purposely was out to jinx his team, and would kill your trade value.

    </div>
Not hard at all... it can easily all fall apart on the defensive end where few stats are kept. The guy loves basketball, but he didn't want to be here, so it was very easy for him to just go out and do the things he loves most (grabbing rebounds, initiating the break and collecting assists) all while playing passive defense at times and not communicating.

The guy is a great player... so actually it was very easy for him. For Antoine Wright it would be hard. Especially since, as the pg, Kidd was driving the car.

See much difference w/o Kidd now?

I'm sure Raptor fans are loving what Kidd did. Let VC have a taste of what he did w/ his teammates.

Actually no. Just proves the point. You think you would notice the team playing worse when you remove a HOF type player, but they play the same with 5 new faces that haven't learned the system. Not noticing the loss of the triple doubles.

Actually there is one difference: they aren't falling behind by double digits early and often. That was usually a guarantee with these guys. Considering there are five new faces that need to learn what the Nets are doing that's pretty impressive.

And I'm not saying Kidd made them lose. Saying he didn't help them win all that often this season.

Well that's why I did say "smaller-scale." Half a season of b.s. is bound to elicit less hostility than 4 years.

I've tried to restrain myself a bit, for fear of being a jerk. But there's some definite schadenfreude in this whole ordeal.

Wasn't about winning. He was being a stat whore. He averaged one about every 4 games with the Nets and in 9 with the Mavs he's had none.

Amazing how he's learned how to shoot over there. Up to 47% including 60% from downtown.</div>
well he does have better teammates over there and damp, bass and nowitzki are better rebounders then what we have but i get your point

When I said "deep down I actually think Kidd wanted to see them lose" I meant that on a subconscious level. That he was indifferent to losing... it didn't hurt his cause.

Gottta admit it's hard to be traded from a winning team.

I see your point, but when was the last time the Nets were a winning team? If the team was winning which it wasn't last year, would he wanted out?

It's 1 think to say he was a dirt bag off the court, and 1 for wanting out. But to accuse him of throwing games or not trying, that's a bit far.

NEVER ever meant that he purposely threw games. Just meant he was not hyped up to win them night in and night out... indifferent.
