Devin Harris was the centerpiece of the Kidd trade and is signed to a long term contract. If you were running the Nets FO, how would you build a team around him?

ummm is this a trick question ? you don't. There is no way in hell you build your team around Devin Harris everything right now is about setting up the cap room and expiring contracts to get him
I've always thought of him as more of a complimentary player...I don't know if he's a player that you necessarily build around. He's a very good defensive PG who offensively needs work...realistically Marcus actually has better long term potential offensively. Either way I don't think management currently view either one of them as untouchable. New Orleans has Chris Paul Utah has Deron Williams Orlando has Dwight Howard Toronto has Chris Bosh Portland has Kevin Durant Memphis has Rudy Gay Portland has Brandon Roy, LeMarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden Phoenix has Amare Stoudimire I think those are the type of players you build around... Don't get me wrong Devin definately has allstar potential, but that comes more from the quality of PGs in the East rather than skill level...he's not a top 10 PG.

Surely, if you can envision building a team around him as starting PG, you can envision bulding a team around him as a starting SG. However, if you have the urge to insult me again, why don't you just cut to the chase and get to your agenda, since obviously this thread was meant to support your own, currently unstated opinion on the matter.

What does that mean it means whoever you get prior can not allow this teams cap to go over 50 million, most likely the 40's , whoever it is.

Trade Vince and RJ and get two young guys. We need one full year of Devin to see what he needs around him.
It's downright rude to ask others for their opinion, and then berate them for providing it. As a moderator, it is inexcusable, and you know better. Quite frankly, I don't know why I bother to respond to your posts. Perhaps this will be the last time.

Stating that an opinion is a dumb idea is not a personal attack. However, now that I know how you feel, I'll respond to your posts with kid gloves. My fault for assuming after all these years and all these exchanges that you understood the difference.
