Everybody was criticizing Krstic, but last couple of games he step up huge. He should get his credit too when hes playing well

    No replies. Nice.

All I can say is that the Nets were ahead in every game when Krstic got touches in the post and fell behind when he didn't.

That's been going on for three years.

In half an hour? It's the weekend, man!

Krstic's offense has gotten to the point the last 3 games that when he shoots, I literally expect it to go in every single time. It's the same expectation I had 2 years ago, and it's a damn good feeling.

Hey, I've always said that Krstic will eventually return to form. You don't forget how to play basketball, it's just a matter of time till he gets used to playing again. The only thing you usually lose with injuries is athleticism and confidence; the confidence is returning and I haven't seen any major hit to his athleticism. It isn't a big part of his game anyway, so it's not even a factor anyway.

If he continues to play this well and gets his timing completely back, he should probably become the focus of the offense in the post with paint attacks from Devin Harris and Jefferson as the alternative.

Vince Carter's injury prevents him from being dominant and taking it to the paint at will. The injury will take significant rest/surgery to overcome. He probably should be the designated shooter at this point (think Ray Allen, although Allen is a better shooter).

So, it's a risk, but it could be a good gamble to run the offense through Krstic.

You mean averaging a double-double and shooting 60% from the floor against Duncan, Milicic and Chandler in the last three games.?

Yeah, Dampier will be able to stop him tonight. Look for that to be the game plan tonight...pull Dampier and Magloire away from the middle to free up Harris to go around Kidd.

That's not a gamble at all.

Every single player gets better if Krstic gets consistent post touches throughout the game.

Since 2005 they have jumped out to huge leads this way, only to give them back after abandoning that plan and forcing up too many jumpers.

    Over the last 3 games...
    12 points, 10 rebounds, 1 block, 61% shooting.

It's nice to see him starting to look like himself again and hitting his shots

In a way it is bad since he will be noticed by others entering the off-season.

He's even posting up now as well. Confidence is doing quite well.

I'm still waiting for some of the haters to come in and say it's only 3 games. It might have been only a few games, but he's already looking much better than he did 2 weeks ago. His confidence is up, and I think he'll continue to excel.

Hey I'll say that it's only been 3 games, but I'm not a hater. I just don't want to say that he's officially back before I see more out of him. It's awesome if he's truly starting to become the player he was on the verge of being pre-injury. Still, the same caution that I'm applying to Marcus Williams should be paid to Krstic.

he bulked up...he's a little slower but the added muscle should help his rebounding and low-post offense...

This is a big game for him tonight. He has shown progress three straight games against good to decent big men defenders: Duncan, Milicic (who was particularly motivated to play him because of their history as rivals and teammates), and Chandler.

Can he show continued progress in what will be an emotionally charged game against a BIG big man in Diop and/or Magloire...or depending on matchups, a poor defender in Nowitzki. Who defends Nowitzki is another issue. If it's Krstic, expect him to get into foul trouble early.
