...to buy a ps3. I want it mainly for the blu ray player, but there are some games that I do play (Madden, GTA, MLB). Will the blu ray look good on a 32" 720p TV? Just convince me you ps3 fan boys.
Yes. Convince me to buy one as well. I've been debating whether or not to get one for about 2 months now.
Wow...I thought Metal Gear Solid 4 was enough. How about Grand Theft Auto 4, and Fear, to boot? Personally, I'd rather get a Wii. Super Smash Brothers is pretty much the best game ever.
I heard Mario Galaxy is amazing too. Too bad I got screwed with the 001 ERROR Nintendo cleverly put in. Now I'll never be able to play it, since I have no idea which chip I have. It's something Chinese...

Actually, there's a pokemanz trainr in SSB LOLZ!
Well you get free online play. You get pretty darn cool original PlayStation Network games (such as Calling All Cars, Super Stardust HD [ok not soooo original], PixelJunk Monster, etc). You got pretty decent games such as Resistance (I'm actually still playing it online, even more than CoD4), MotorStorm (loading times online suck!), Warhawk (you fly, you drive, you run, can't get better than that), Heavenly Sword (while yes, it's a "button-smasher," I guess, it has a pretty good story to follow), Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (I've heard it's a great game, it's the next one I'm buying) and my favorite of all Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. May I mention that Uncharted has ZERO loading screens after the inital boot up of the game? You can skip cut scenes, you can dies as many times as you want, you can do anything and it'll NEVER load again (unless you restart the game/PS3?) Amazing. Oh and the story is one of the best. You also get a Blu-ray player to enjoy your movies in HD (although, I must advise you to get surround sound, Planet Earth in HD and SS = freaking awesome!)
Surround sound is my next step after I decide on the ps3. Can anyone answer if the blu ray will look good on a 720p tv?
Yea I need help in this as well looks like theres no more 80 GB PS3's? I've been thinking about a 360 or a PS3 since early Janurary going to get one of them late April.
Hearing all this talk about PS3 makes me want to get one. Unfortunately, I already have a 360, so one system is enough for me.

Anyway, dealing with a 32" screen, I'd imagine DVDs should be more than enough, and blu ray would be fine.
The PS3 seems to be a good choice for anyone that wants a blu-ray player, and it's starting to get a good collection of games. The thing that irks me though, is the lack of cheaper games. Remember those Greatest Hits games? If they get those $20 games back, like Resistance, which has been out for over a year, I would probably get a PS3 at the next price drop.
Anybody know which PS3 systems could you play PS2 games I heard the 80 GB could play some but what about the 20 and the 40 GB?

Get a ps3 with 2k8 Mamba, that game is good as hell.
