(I suggest muting the video once the music starts)

That first dunk...that was Kristof Ongenaet, a transfer from San Luis Opisbo (CA) Cuesta College.

I felt that was somewhat symbolism of the way he's stepped up the past couple games. He's been attacking the basket, making GREAT defensive plays. First play of the game, on defense, a guy cuts on the baseline, and right away, Kristof comes over and stuffs him (2:04 in the video). That really set the tone for the rest of He's been big for a us, and a big reason for the last couple wins.

That said, Syracuse owned Marquette, and I'd say a good reason for that was Donte Greene. He played his BEST basketball yet this season, and you'll even see it in the video. He defended pretty well, on par with how he usually defends. And on offense, he was just unbelievable. Really, for the first time ever this season, he posted up pretty much every time. He took advantage of his size and talent, and really took it to Marquette. Definitely player of the game in my eyes.

Johnny, on the other hand, played pretty well. He took some random shots that, at first, looked bad...but I guess he knew what he was doing, since most of them went in. He led this team pretty well. His timely three-pointers really helped, and he was great with attacking the basket (although the refs didn't call every foul).

And Paul did his part, too. He consistently hit the boards, scored when needed, and played some good defense. Scoop did okay. He threw in a few points from the bench. Jackson played some pretty good defense, although Boeheim was pissed at him for some reason. Arinze put up a good performance, getting down low and playing tough against Marquette's visibly smaller and weaker players. He helped to set the tone with Ongenaet.

Overall, this was a great win for Syracuse, and could be a turning point if Ongenaet and Donte continue to play this way.
