I absolutely love Gerald Green. There is no timetable on the return for Trevor Ariza, and Houston just waived Green. Why not sign Green as a potential roster fill-in for Ariza??? He doesn't even have to play much, just garbage minutes. I think he will become an instant fan favorite in LA. Plus, Mitch loves him.

If he enjoys playing in LA, perhaps a future contract extension would be in his future? Plus, his potential is incredible. A future of Bynum at center, Green at small forward, Ariza at shooting guard, and Farmar at PG is very promising.

    Thoughts?

If we sign him we won't be in the playoffs roster so it wouldn't help much. But I would love to see Green in a Laker uniform but we have a log jam at the SF position.

Gerald Green sucks. I don't know why so many people are still enamored by him. He didn't show much on the Boston Celtics, who were at the time the worst team in the NBA. He couldn't even get his ass off the bench when he played for the Timberwolves this season, who are currently the worst team in the NBA. To top it all off, he goes back to his hometown in Houston and can't even stay on their roster. What's so special about this guy? The only thing he can do is dunk (even though he got owned in the Dunk Contest). Unfortunately, dunking will get you no where in the league if you don't have any other skills to back it up. From what I've heard, Green has a piss poor attitude, and he's as dumb as a rock. There is no way he will be able to understand the triangle. There is a reason why he slipped so far in the draft, and there is a reason why he hasn't been able to stick to any team in the NBA. It's because he sucks. I want no part of this bum

My right testicle has a better shot at being the next T-mac than GG.

The kid has potential, but when you have little to no basketball IQ, it's difficult to reach your potential.

My guess would be he will be back in the league next year, and will be a decent role or bench player in a few years.

He played for the worst team in the NBA last year (the Celts) .. they got rid of him ... now his team this year is the worst team in the NBA .. and now they get rid of him.

If the worst teams dont want him, that should tell you something
