Who would fit better in the Wolves' system? Rose- If you take him, you can move Foye to the 2 spot, and have a good passer to feed Al. The thing that I am most impressed by is his defense. It complements his offense very well. Beasley- Offensively the best player in the draft. Not only this, his rebounding, along with Al's (5th in NBA), would be one of the better rebounding tandems as well as scoring tandems in the NBA.
You're definitely in need of another guard, especially if Jaric isn't in the Wolves' future. But...Beasely would be the better pick, and right now seems like the more talented player. Plus, pairing a player like him with Al Jefferson could produce very nice results. The Wolves also need a Center. IMO if you don't mind Gomes and Smith at the PF spot, trade for a couple picks to take a C and a PG.
I'm 50/50 on this, I have no idea. I think the workouts will play a big role in this. I do not think Randy Foye is a point guard or will ever lead a successful team at the 1-spot, so I think bringing in a guy like Derrick Rose would be great. At the same time, Foye is too small to play the 2 full-time when and if the team is competitive, so the Wolves are in a bit of a limbo there. I also think Telfair can establish himself as a starting point guard within the next year or two, and I know the organization/Wittman/fans like him a lot... so who knows? Beasley would be great... offensively. On paper, Big Al and Beasley would look pretty amazing. On the defensive end? Not so much. It usually isn't a good sign when your top two players cannot defend. There aren't many successful teams out there with that formula. I'm pretty much on the fence right now, but I think I might be slightly leaning towards Rose for this team. I'd prefer Rose for a few teams at the top of the lottery, actually. To me, Beasley is not as much of a "lock to go #1" as most people are stating nationally. The Wolves do need a center badly though, and it's unfortunate there aren't any "top five caliber centers" available in this year's draft. This is going to play a huge role as to who is retained this summer, though. If Minnesota ends up with a guard (Rose, Mayo, Bayless, Gordon), which is very likely with so many of them being at the top of the draft, then Telfair is as good as gone. If they end up with Beasley, say bye-bye to Gomes.
What about Jordan? he could be a top 5 pick if he leaves. i think lopez could be a great compliment player to Jefferson too. However, if they have a top 3 pick its gotta be either, rose, beasley, or gordon. those guys have all star written all over them.

If he doesn't stay in school for at least one or two more years, he's making a giant mistake.
I personally think Rose needs to stay in school. He's a talented PG but he's still got a flawed offensive game. His jump shot is still inconsistent and like any young PG, his decision making could improve at times too. Beasley, in my opinion, is the can't miss player of this class. He's got tremendous athleticism, can put the ball on the floor, he can rebound, shoot, and do all of this with a 6'9" frame. I' might venture to say he could end up as a better talent than Kevin Durant. If he goes, you have to draft him at #1, unless you absolutely need a certain position filled.
