<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Woman drops restraining order against Patriots?€™ Randy Moss MIAMI (AP)?€”A woman who obtained a restraining order earlier this year in a domestic violence case against New England Patriots star Randy Moss wants the case dismissed, court records show. Rachelle Washington, 35, filed papers March 3 with the Broward County Circuit Court clerk?€™s office requesting that the order be dissolved and the case closed. The restraining order had required the All-Pro wide receiver to stay at least 500 feet from Washington. Moss, 31, denied he harmed Washington as she claimed at her Florida home on Jan. 6, or that he prevented her from seeking medical attention. Moss did acknowledge there was an ?€œaccident?€? involving Washington, but would not be more specific. Moss attorney Richard Sharpstein said Tuesday his client was ?€œextremely pleased?€? by the outcome. Moss plans to submit a claim to his insurance company for medical bills for services such as X-rays that Washington had for a hand injury, Sharpstein added. ?€œThere has finally been acknowledgment that the injuries were not intentionally inflicted,?€? Sharpstein said. An attorney for Washington did not immediately respond to a telephone message seeking comment. The restraining order was issued Jan. 14 after Washington accused Moss of ?€œbattery causing serious injury?€? in a civil domestic violence case. It came just as the Patriots were making their playoff run to the Super Bowl and angling for an undefeated season, which ended in a loss to the New York Giants. Days before the AFC championship game, Moss said the claims were ?€œfalse allegations?€? and that Washington had demanded a payment of ?€œsix figures?€? before taking legal action. He acknowledged knowing the woman for about 11 years. ?€œIn my whole entire life of living 30 years, I?€™ve never put a hand on one woman, physically or in an angry manner,?€? Moss told reporters in mid-January. Moss has had other off-the-field problems in his 10 years in the NFL, including a 2002 incident in which he bumped a traffic control officer with his car and another in 2001 when he verbally abused corporate sponsors on a team bus. But since his acquisition by the Patriots last April, he has been viewed as a team leader. He had another stellar year on the field in 2007, catching 98 passes for 1,493 yards and an NFL-record 23 touchdowns. For his career, Moss has 774 receptions for 12,193 yards and 124 touchdowns.</div> http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AuK9...p&type=lgns
I've never seen a more blatant case of someone trying to extort an athlete. I'm glad she didn't get shit.

Come on, you all know how this was resolved. Tom Brady slept with her. That was the hold up on Moss re-signing with the Pats.
The arm-chair Judge Judys around here kill me. Considering how little information has actually been reported regarding this case, you guys have turned this woman into a "slandering whore" even though we know she has suffered an injury at the hands of Randy Moss. The only thing in question is the whether or not Moss intended to injury her and if he denied her medical attention. Let me ask everyone a few questions. Has anyone ever heard Rachelle Washington's side of the story? Has anyone ever seen her face or heard her voice? Does anyone know anything at all about this young lady except that she has poor taste in men? Hey, don't let that stop you from assassinating her character. Don't let the woman get away with only suffering injury at the hands of Randy Moss. While we're at it, how many conversations between Washington and Moss have you heard? She's been friends with Moss for eleven years, but we don't know how long they have had an intimate relationship. Does anyone here have insider knowledge about the conversations that have occurred between the two since the incident? Has Moss gotten inside her head and gotten her to forgive him? Does she just want to move on? If you do know what has been said between these two, please share. On the other hand, what do we know about Randy Moss. Notre Dame didn't want Moss after Moss pleaded guilty to battery for a fight in high school. Perhaps Moss doesn't put his hands on women, but he doesn't mind shoving them with his car like he did with a traffic officer in 2002. We also know that he verbally assaulted a bus of team sponsors while he was with the Vikings. Based on that information, why in the world would anyone think that this punk could possibly be capable of committing any kind of violence against a woman, with whom he was having an extra-marital affair. I'd love to hear Rachelle Washington's side of the story. Heck, I'd love to hear from Randy Moss' wife on the matter. Put the two of them, with Randy in the middle chair, on Springer and let's get to the bottom of this. JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!

After a few seconds, Hullerman said, the man in the car tapped the accelerator and knocked her down. "She fell flat on her face," Hullerman said, adding that the driver didn't get out of his car. Hullerman said squad cars arrived seconds later and officers took Moss into custody. Robert and Delaina Nelson of Robbinsdale, Minn., saw much of the incident and called it one of the most ridiculous episodes they've ever seen. They also said they had no doubt that the driver -- whom they later learned was Moss -- did not intend to hurt the traffic agent. Rather, Delaina Nelson said, it seemed to be a "cat-and-mouse game" in which he wanted her to get out of his way. What's your case against Rochelle Washington for determing that she's a slandering whore? Have you seen her face? Heard her voice? Have anything factual that throws her character into suspect other than dating Randy Moss? I think I've presented some really good reasons to not believe Randy Moss. What do you have other than your opinion? I'd really like to hear it.

Perhaps Moss is guilty, but has convinced her to drop the charges. Perhaps Washington has had a change of heart based on her anger at being injured declining or because she still has feelings for Moss. Never having seen her face or heard her voice or knowing anything about her at all, except that she was injured in an incident with Moss, calling her a slandering whore is just baseless where my calling Randy Moss a punk is just an abstute observation of his past behavior. Actually, it's probably too obvious to really be considered abstute except in this forum. </div> I know her lawyer already said there was no malicious intent (it was an accident), so why the pejorative veneer at first? It's fair to suspect slander. </div> Her NEW lawyer said there was no malicious intent. (Actually, her new lawyer made conflicting statements regarding acknowledgement of intent which is why I would really love to hear from Ms. Washington) Who is to say that was clear from the beginning? Perhaps she felt there was, but Randy talked to her, perhaps several times, and convinced her that it was malicious? Or he convinced her that he was sorry? Or she just wants to move on? Or any combination of things? Someone tell me how her dropping charges is proof that she's a "slandering whore" and not a woman who is conflicted because her lover caused her injury and his intentions weren't clear? </div> And it could be as simple as slander. There's no end to this.
