Calderon gave an interview to spanish media after the game yesterday.

He said that he is happy in Toronto. When the reporters ask him about a possibility of joining the Lakers and Pau next season he said "that would be nice joining Pau's team. The Lakers have wonderfull players".

I think adding Calderon is an excellent idea this off-season. Excellent shooter (FG 53%, 3p 44%, FT 92%), one of the best passers of the league, not a bad defender. Good age (27). Also Pau will help him in the transition.

Give him the full MLE and dont resign Sasha.

    SG: BRYANT-Calderon
    PG: FISHER-Farmar

Fisher, Calderon and Farmar can play the PG. Excellent fight for the starting lineup. Also, Calderon can play the SG (he is doing that sometimes in Toronto with Ford in the starting 5).

    Toughts.

He's going to get more than the full MLE and he's WAY better than Fisher.

He's easily one of my top 5 favorite players in the league. I would love to have him play with the Lakers but he's worth much more than the MLE and he's a restricted free agent to boot, meaning if he somehow accepted our MLE offer, the Raptors would have a chance to match.

That said, I don't want to give up Sasha.

You better plan on a lot more than MLE cause the Raps are planning on paying him a lot more.

I couldn't anticipate him leaving Toronto..Colangelo is too smart to let that happen.

No way does he leave Toronto. Plus, we'd have to shell out more than the MLE, which means we'd have to do a S&T to get him. Plus, I personally think we're set at PG for next year anyways. As loyal as they are to Fisher, I foresee Farmar taking over as starter next year. He's ready to do so right now, but I think Phil is much more comfortable with the veteran out there than the kid.

Yeah I forgot all about Farmar...in a few years I think he's going to be comparable to Calderon.

Farmar has been in a little slump recently. It seems like him and Fisher take turns playing like Garbage, but I do expect Farmar to surpass Fish soon.

Hillary has a better chance of winning the Nomination than us landing Calderon. We've got Gasol now and some decent PG depth, just be happy with that.

Is he that untouchable? Calangelo had agreed to trade him this past summer, but Hawks management rejected it, in the last minute.

Well, for one, look at the PG rotation of the Raps. Who do they have? Calderon, frequently injured TJ, and Derrick Martin. Could you really see them letting go of their best point guard?

Plus, Calderon is one of the most efficient point guards in the league. And he's one of the very few natural point guards in the league.

I still very much doubt that report.

And that's not even factoring in his performance this year. If he played like this last year I doubt they woulda traded him.

He's not leaving Toronto, no matter what. BC will give him big money, probably more then he deserves, but he'll get big money. Probably Chris Paul money too. The bottom line is though, he is a great fit in Toronto and how much he could do in the Triangle offense is unsure.

We won't get Calderon, the Raptors like to much for him to leave, if were looking to sign another PG it will be navarro.

I'm thinking at least around 8 mill a year. And Toronto will break the bank to get him if they have to.

For the record, Jorge Garbajosa said something similar to a Spanish newspaper over the summer, and that's before the team traded for Gasol. Your franchise's reputation has definitely translated overseas.
