Dave D: Devin Could Average 20 PPG
March 12, 2008, 6:11 pm Dave D’Alessandro thinks he sees real toughness and potential in Devin Harris, predicting that with a few additional moves, he could average 20 ppg. So he’s not a pure point guard, says Dave. So what? Other teams win with shoot-first points. Dave also expects the Nets to keep Lawrence Frank, that it would be unfair to dump him now. Still, he says they are “evaluating” his and others’ performance.

I don't foresee him as being a 20ppg guy unless he can get a more consistent jumper...and unless they ditch either Carter or Jefferson.

    Easy.

If the offense was as fluid as last night, then it's no problem for him. His offense woes before last night were because of overall putrid team offenses rather than his own potential and ability.

I want to see if he can get 8 assists a game, though.

Give him 2 years and he'll be an all star in the east. Jump shooting is the easiest thing to improve on in the NBA. They need to get Bitch Carter out of town asap though. Getting a pass first pg to play some minutes with him would help too. but ya, he has some great potential still.

Sure he could. Mike James once averaged 20 ppg.

the reason other teams win with a scoring PG is because they have dominant bigs who draw attention and can pass well, note: TD, Dirk, KG, what was Terry doing before playing with Dirk? the last scoring PG we had was starbury and we know how that turned out, harris scoring 20 a game is not good unless he becomes a better passer

exactly and the raps were horrible, point being, you cannot win consistenly with scoring PGs because you depend on them to score and sometimes they go cold meanwhile a passing PG will always get his teammates better shots night in and night out

I have a hard time seeing an All-Star appearance in Devin Harris's future. He'll be one of those fringe guys that never quite gets there, like Mike Bibby.
