BASKETBALL ONTARIO'S CONTEST TO DESIGN NEW LOGO Basketball Ontario wants you to be a part of the next revolution by designing a new logo... Do you have what it takes to design a logo? We are looking for anyone interested to design a new logo for Basketball Ontario. The winner will receive a prize pack and the chance to have their work presented on our website and in promotional materials. We invite all of our members to submit their ideas for our new logo. Please send your new logo concept via email to info@basketball.on.ca. The deadline for the logo submission is April 15, 2008. Please include your name, phone number, mailing address, age and member club. The winner will be contacted by Friday, May 30, 2008. For complete contest rules, please see below. Contestant must be a legal resident of Ontario. 2) Entries must be received before 5:00pm (EST) on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. 3) OBA reserves the right to adapt any submitted visual to fit the materials used for the new logo. 4) Logos cannot contain copyrighted material. Logos must have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Logos may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published or are pending publication. 5) Contestants agree that OBA may publish their logo and name(s) and may use both in future advertising campaigns and/or marketing materials. Contestants assign all ownership rights, including all intellectual property rights, in and to the logo to OBA. OBA may alter, modify or revise the logo as it sees necessary to achieve the goals of the association. 6) Contestants agree to make every effort to be available for a phone interview, and if not able to participate, agree to allow OBA to use their name and logo submission in an article and press release announcing the winning entries. 7) OBA has no obligation to use the winning logo for any purpose whatsoever. 8) OBA is not responsible for any lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected or illegal submissions. No entries will be returned. 9) OBA may disqualify any entry based on content and/or production. 10) All costs associated with making and submitting a logo are the contestant’s responsibility. OBA will not reimburse or be responsible for any costs incurred in the making or submission of any entry. 11) Submissions must be in JPG, BMP or EPS format. Submissions must be at least 300 dpi and at least 900 pixels by 900 pixels. Please retain the original artwork files as we reserve the right to have the winning concept further developed. 12) Submissions from professional designers are allowed. 13) OBA may post a list of entries on the OBA web site for the membership/public to vote the winner. 14) Winners will be notified by Friday, May 16, 2008. 15) The winner will receive: recognition on OBA web site and in Time Out; a Nike clothing package with new association logo; invitation (plus guest) to Basketball Ontario's Super Weekend Hall of Fame Gala Dinner (Saturday, September 13, 2008); and a cash prize.
