I get so frustrated when I watch ESPN and one of the idiot talking heads tosses out some stat or fact that is completely wrong. Not to mention, I find most of the guys they are adding as analysts to be complete morons. So this thread is for them. When you see one that you want to kick in the nuts, tell us about in this thread until ghoti finally figures out how to make his machine to remote kick people in the nuts. I'll start of with former LA Times columnist JA Adande who now pops up on ESPN's NBA coverage such as the nightly Fastbreak show. Last night, in talking about the Nuggets, he said the Nuggets 12-19 road record wasn't good enough for them to make the playoffs in the West because every playoff team in the West has a winning road record. Oh really??? As of this morning, Dallas has a 15-19 road record, Utah has a 16-21 road record and San Antonio only has a 17-17 road record. Way to go JA, how about you check some facts next time
The only "experts" @ ESPN that have any merit are; Tim Kurkjian, Peter Gammons, & John Clayton. I love the Sunday night baseball announcers; Jon Miller & Joe Morgan. All the other announcing teams for all othe sports except Paul Maguire (football) suck,
Chris Mortensen "front line purveyor of rumor and heresay" The "Minister of MisInformation" I can't put all the blame on one person though. Mort was soaking his feet in Hawaiian water while reporting about activities in Oakland, CA. His "sources", as he likes to call them, are the cronies that should also be held accountable in his chain of poor reporting. These people live by the "throw it against the wall and see if it sticks" protocol.

Last time I saw him talk about Garrard, he wouldn't admit he was wrong. Kurkjian doesn't like Instant Replay, I don't agree with that. He seems pretty decent though aside from his double-thoughts. I haven't seen Gammons on ESPN in a while.
I could make 20 page thread about this every day. It's just not worth it. They are pathetic. For example, not one person - on air or off - knew about the Bill Walker/OJ Mayo connection. They brought up Beasley and Mayo being big freshman, but missed the real story. How many people work at ESPN? Like 5,000?

How about when some of those expert "analysts" said that Syracuse deserved to be in the tournament this year? We didn't even win 20 games. As if it wasn't obvious enough that this year, it was between them and Nova...and SU lost. Last year, on the other hand...you know what? Last year, I believe the same guys said that SU didn't deserve it, when they won 24 games, 10-6 in the Big East. Fucking retarded.

Quite frankly (reference intended), Joe Morgan is retarded. Steve Phillips is the worst baseball analyst. Harold Reynolds was decent.
Jalen Rose is retarded. He's mildly entertaining, and I can stand him to an extent, but c'mon. You couldn't get someone better? Also, why is Jalen on 1st and 10? He's a freaking basketball analyst. An ex-basketball star. And he doesn't seem all that smart to me. Why do they have him talking about random shit like golf? "Mikembe Mutombo"? Really, Jalen?
I agree with you about Jalen Rose. He's also got an annoying voice that sounds like he should be on a childrens TV show. Imagine hearing this on your TV - "Okay kids, time to get out the coloring books and our crayons!" in the most annoying, high-pitched Jalen Rose voice you can think of. Compared with the anchors at ESPN, he is only mildly annoying. Is there any possible way that I can disrupt the job security of Chris Mortensen? The guy has been there forever and seems a bit lazy on his reporting. I wouldn't be so fired up about it if he weren't doing his thing front and center every day. If Mort were doing his pieces on the back page of some fish wrap, then that would be fine. There are a million others reporting garbage like that, doesn't the public deserve better? I only bought cable TV so that I could get those extra sports channels. sigh.
I agree with Hank Steinbrenner about the nefarious machinations of ESPN. I find 90% of the programming to be completely unwatchable, and every time one of the imbeciles starts using legal terms, I seriously consider nuclear strikes...
Seeing Stephen A Smith on Sportscenter talking about football (or any sport other than basketball) has got to be the worst. It's one thing if he says idiotic things about basketball, but why do we need to hear his opinion on Brett Favre? Stick to basketball, Einstein.
So? If I were to start a petition to brink back Dan Patrick & Keith Olbermann as well as more time for Kenny Mayne. Who all would sign? Said petition would also limit air time for Stuart Scott, Dick Vitale, & Bill Walton.
