Here's a long, but interesting article about the more recent criticisms of ESPN and how they're dealing with them: Taking aim at Bristol
I've gotten tired of listening to bullshit on ESPN. They hate on the Yankees, and ignore small market teams. And the idiocy of some people. Olbermann called the Yankees BP a liability, but the Red Sox's a real strength. Huh? And Steve Phillips is, well, Steve Phillips. http://proxy.espn.go.com/espn/contact?coun...united%20states Here's what I sent: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I'm so jealous of ESPN, for employing the genius that is. "The Yankees should trade for bullpen depth" Even though they have the 6th best ERA, and #1 WHIP. True Genius. And that whole Salomón Torres incident. "He lost the lead, got it back, and is now pitching the next inning. Does he get a blown save and a save?" That should be a new rule. Broadcaster and innovator! Thanks for providing comedic relief. You're the heart of BBTN. If you're not going to use this, please reply: *@gmail.com</div> I filed it as a compliment (But couldn't find Steve in the drop down).
Don't be fooled, Olbermann loves the New York Yankees. It's his favorite team aside from the Obama for President campaign.

The two idiots yelling at each other and acting disgusted with the other's stupidity? I missed this?
ESPN is good at reporting scores, showing highlights, showing interviews... but when it comes to formulating their opinions (particularly with player evaluations) they suck something fierce.
Mike and Mike I like Wilbon and Kornheiser I like um........Claytons face just annoys me so I cant make a real opinion on him

Steve Phillips may be the most incompetent "analyst" I've ever heard. He suggested the Reds trade Griffey for Carlos Quentin. Sure, and maybe the Yankees can trade Derek Jeter for Hanley Ramirez, and Pettitte for Edinson Volquez.
Another thing that I've read about is how they'll take credit for exclusive scoops when some other site/channel has already broken the news. Or if they can't get away with that, they'll purposely downplay or ignore the story. That's pretty weak, IMO.
My biggest problem with them, has occurred twice already. Their College Gameday crew considered the 2006 USC Rose Bowl team as the greatest team of all time (in a long segment), before that historic Vince Young game. Then they had Parcells rank the 2007-2008 Patriots as the greatest team of all time in a week-long segment, only to have them choke later of course (all week I had to hear that clown justify his positions on how the Pats would "Blow Out" certain historic teams). ESPN is so arrogant sometimes, can't they wait the extra couple of weeks? So impatient of them, kind of disrespectful, and biased as hell.
