<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rogers Sportsnet has given up the ball in the new NBA agreements negotiated with Canadian television networks.

Beginning next season, Sportsnet will be out as an NBA rights-holder. It will carry neither Toronto Raptors nor any other NBA games.

TSN and the CBC are expected to share the 12 Raptors games Sportsnet will lose.

The CBC will air between 15 and 20 games on Sunday afternoons, up from seven this season. TSN will increase its schedule to about 25 from 21.</div>

The quality of their broadcasts haven't been up to par with the cbc or TSN. Good riddance.

I like the score but their over-sized ticker squeezes and distorts the image of the game.

I like the Score too but it's too bad they can't shrink the size of the ticker during games.

Overall, I'd prefer to have basketball on as many channels as I can.

Well this sucks. We're going to miss a bunch of non-raptor games now.

the one thing I liked about rogers was the 4 channels. You could sometimes have 3 different games on at once. [IMG]

the year the NHL was on strike was awesome for basketball. double headers 3-7 different games on all night because of the Zone channels.

This seemed inevitable. Sportsnet publicly talked about attracting the younger demographics and giving them the sports they want to see, but all they've done slowly fill their entire lineup with hockey-related programming.

Hopefully CBC gets the majority of their games. They've put out the best product this year by far and Elliot Friedman is the man.

TSN does a pretty good job too, but The SCORE is terrible, IMO. I like their sportscasters and the amount of time the spend on non-hockey sports, but their Raps broadcast has that annoying ticker on the entire time and is filled with technical difficulties (how can you call yourself The SCORE and not show the score?!?).
