He led his team to a state championship. Scheelhaase is a tremendous athlete who can beat you with both his feet and his arm. He is very elusive in the pocket and can turn a broken play into a big score. He has very good footwork and throws well on the run. He has an above average arm, especially when throwing downfield. His delivery is solid with little wasted motion. Throws a very catchable ball. Could be deadly if used in an option-system in college. Needs to add just a little but more bulk.</font></td> </tr> </table> </body> </html>
Davis sets big example as spring practice opens | Daily Herald <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Junior Day: Several high-profile players in the class of 2009 got an eyeful of the Illinois experience Saturday. Among the recruits who attended practice: Morgan Park defensive end Craig Drummond (No. 23 prospect nationally per Rivals.com), East St. Louis wideout Terry Hawthorne (No. 82), Kansas City quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase (four stars) and West Des Moines tackle David Barrent.</div>
Nathan leaves Ole Miss with new perspective <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Scout.com's #12 nationally rated QB stopped in for an unofficial visit to the University of Mississippi over the past few days. How did it go? "The trip blew us away. I guess that is the best way I can describe it," added Nathan's father, Nate Creer. "We had no idea it was going to be like that. When you say Mississippi, you are like, oh. We thought it would be some small little town and not much to offer, but boy were we wrong. This is the furthest South we have ever been. We had been to Memphis before, but that is as far South as our family has ever been." Nathan grew close to the Ole Miss staff when Coach Nutt was at Arkansas. "We went down to their camp last summer and he met Coaches Nutt, Vaughn and all of those guys. He was very impressed. They offered him three days later while they were at Arkansas, and we have been talking ever since. Coach Nutt has been really good to us so we wanted to check his new school out. To say we were impressed with Ole Miss is an understatement." What stood out about the University of Mississippi? "It has everything we could want and even more. We had no idea Oxford and Ole Miss was such a fabulous place. Their staff is just so impressive, from Coach Nutt on down to Coach Vaughn to their QB coach, Kent Austin. But more importantly, we got to meet their Chancellor. Dr. Khayat is one of the more impressive people I have ever met. He sat down and answered every question we had. Out of all of our visits, we have never met the President. That was very impressive of Ole Miss to introduce us to him."</div>
NU's summer camps heat up | HuskerExtra.com <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Capella said players went through basic drills on the first day of the Husker camp. After that, coaches would step in and teach technique on an individual basis, eventually putting the guys up front through one-on-one drills. “I’m pretty sore,” Capella said. “It’s the first time I had pads on this year.” Some of the players that joined Capella in the first camp session were defensive line commit Cole Pensick (Lincoln Northeast), quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase (Kansas City, Mo.), offensive lineman Matt Sterup (Hastings St. Cecilia), receiver Keith Langtry (Kansas City, Mo.), cornerback Jonathan Edwards (Birmingham, Ala.), safety Wil Richards (Lee’s Summit, Mo.), and twins Jarvis and Myron Walker (Metairie, La.). Jarvis is a safety and Myron is a defensive tackle.</div>
Rockhurst-Blue Springs South football game will be on ESPN <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Rockhurst-Blue Springs South high school football game — the season opener for both teams — will be televised on ESPN. The two teams will face each other at 11 a.m. on Aug. 31 at Blue Springs South. It’s a rare Sunday morning game, pitting the last two Missouri Class 6 state champions. “Most of these kids will never get to play in Arrowhead Stadium or at KU or MU, so for a lot of these kids playing on ESPN, this is it,” Rockhurst head coach Tony Severino said. The game won’t have to compete with the NFL, which doesn’t start its regular season until the following week. Instead, viewers across the country will have an opportunity to watch two of the most highly touted quarterbacks in the Midwest. Both Nathan Scheelhaase of Rockhurst and Blaine Dalton of Blue Springs South have received Division I football offers. Dalton has committed to Missouri, and Scheelhaase has more than 10 major Division I offers.</div>
In search of the next Sooner QB | NewsOK.com <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>That's why snagging at least one quarterback from this class will be imperative. But who will that be? All signs point to four-star prospect Nathan Scheelhaase as being OU's current top choice. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound dual-threat quarterback from Kansas City's Rockhurst High School holds offers from a dozen schools, including OU, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and South Florida, and has said he expects to make a commitment later this month. Scheelhaase, who was Missouri's Gatorade Player of the Year, made a lot of plays last season getting outside the pocket and throwing the ball downfield on the run. He threw for 20 touchdowns and ran for another 14. Scheelhaase could end up settling on the Sooners, in part because of a bond he has developed with the coaches. If Scheelhaase decides to go elsewhere, however, it's unclear who OU could turn to next.</div>
Rumored to possibly be announcing next week. I honestly have no idea who he might pick, but if I had to guess, I'd say either Kansas or Oklahoma.
