WOW. As a guy who thought The Roots were at their greatest with Illadelph Halflife, I'm glad the group is making another album with a darker, more aggressive feel to it. Game Theory was a step in the right direction, and it looks like Rising Down will continue the pace. The album comes out April 29th, I think.

Get Busy also features Dice Raw, Peedi (an underrated MC in my opinion), and DJ Jazzy Jeff

 

needs a bump, got new album, loving it so far, rising down is awesome to kick off the album

 

Criminal is my favorite track on the album, hands down.

Just saw em live 2 times this summer. Greatest hip hop act ever IMO, solid album too

 

I don't remember if I mentioned it on here before, but my friend is the Roots tour manager and I got to hang backstage for their concert in Providence and then went out with the band afterwards. We hung out on their tour bus afterwards til like 4am. It was pretty cool.
