Was watching some of the game last night. When did the Nets sign Vince Carter? I remember they used to have some slug that wore number 15, but Carter is SUCH an upgrade over that other guy. If they had had Carter all season, they'd be at least the #4 seed. Can someone shed some light on this?

They traded a depressed guy with terrible ankles and no motivation for him at the deadline, but his plane got delayed for a while.

Good question. I think it was after the team was giving some players some cortison shots. Good pick up by Rod Thorn though, hopefully he can help lead the team into the playoffs.

He's a great player, and could be a leader for this young Nets team. I just hope they didn't sign him for too much.

I heard it was only for a ten day contract, so don't get too attached to him

    Ummm guys?

Vince Carter has been with the Nets since December 2004. He was an all-star a bunch of times. [IMG]

Thorn might be the best President/GM in the league! Who else can aquire Vince Carter far after the trade deadline without even giving up anything?

even devin harris said he hasn't seen that guy since he was with toronto...it was not even how many points he scored but how effortlessly it came...he was toying with a supposedly excellent defender and athletic shot blockers...
