<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Knicks to make run at LeBron Posted: Friday March 21, 2008 06:32AM ET One of the goals of the new Knick administration likely will be to get under the salary cap after 2009-2010 to have a crack at LeBron James. And the only way that would be possible is if they can deal Zach Randolph for shorter-term contracts. Randolph's contract runs to 2011, when he makes $17.8 million. If the Knicks trade Randolph and either Eddy Curry or Jamal Crawford for short-term deals, they can be under the cap and in the bidding for King James. As reported here yesterday, a new Web site was launched Wednesday - www.nycforlebron.com - taking donations for incentive gifts for James to become a Knick.</div> Link Thoughts?
Supposing there are two teams in New York under the cap, one is Manhattan the other is Brooklyn; one is owned by Jay-Z (for argument's sake), and the other by Dolan; one has more historical prestige than the other (because Dr. J is slept-on )
It's sad when people make a site taking donations for a player makes hundreds of millions of dollars already. That's just pathetic and doesn't show much of our society. I wonder if it were another city in a similar situation...would those people do the same thing, or is it just Knicks fans?

It's sad, really.
