What do the Raptors need to get to the next level? It seems to me that they need a veteran coach that is better at handling egos.

They need a coach with some god damn offensive creativity. Sam is very x's and o's, play how you want. It really holds back Bosh, Bargnani and Calderon, mostly from doing greater things.

there are so many coaches, Larry brown, van gaundy, Mitchell sucks as a coach, how he got the coach of the year i dunno, but he really is horrible, and raps need a real coach with experience to go to da next level

He got coach of the year from the major turn around the Raptors made. I don't think he is the worst coach out there, but he makes some very costly decisions that hurt the team. I'm surprised at how bad he is sometimes, especially with the assistant coaches we have. I trust Colangelo though, he will make a move when he feels it's needed.

Its always easy to blame the coach, and I won't defend Sam's shortcomings, but I can't help but think the mental makeup of this team is mostly at fault. The 'good guy' team won't succeed in pro sports.

That's a given. If he can take the Raptors to the ECF, he'll be here next year.
