<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>According to Lakers radio: Ronny called him out twice tonight for it on the floor. It happened after Ronny got his third foul and at 95-95 acording to lakers radio. Phil Jackson even addressed Ronny and Farmar's spat after the game and said he hopes the selfishness does carry on to tommorrow.</div> It's true. Farmar is a piece of shit PG, so far in the NBA he's proven to be a SG trapped in a PG body. He never, EVER passes to Kobe, takes a lot of unnecessary jumpers, hoists a lot of 3's, and is lazy as **** on defense. Since the Crittenton trade, he's slacked off. He doesn't have any competition in practice anymore, so he's not being pushed. I've stated all along we traded the wrong young PG, and it's being proven even more each game. Why can't we just have a true PG? Every team in the league seems to have one, but us.

I still think Farmar can be a damn good PG. While his play has tapered off recently, it's not surprising. A lot of young players fall off at the end of the year, so why would he be any different? As for his selfish play, you could partially blame youth there as well, but I can't use that as an excuse for it entirely. He should know his role on the team and he hasn't exactly played into all that much recently. Although, to his credit, the tri doesn't exactly call for him to be a pure PG either.
Somewhat of a poor March? His defense has been atrocious and he's developed a selfishness. His stats may be fine, but his play has been shit.
I don't get his defense. He came from UCLA where Howland harp's defense...he's worse than Fisher out there!!! I don't see him being a good PG in this league, a good bench player is his limit, a 6th player.

It's a habit of mine to focus on that first. Yeah he's been a hog and I can only accept that from Kobe.
His problem is he's picking up Fisher's habits. Fisher is the worst player in the league when it comes to driving the lane, bar none. Name one person in the league who you think is worse than Fisher, and focus on Fisher for one game..and you'll be proven wrong. He also plays lazy defense, which is what Farmar has started doing. I'm very worried that this might become a permanent thing with Farmar because he's still young and Fisher is going to be here for awhile.

I just hope Ronny wakes up this punk. You know Kobe loves his touches, there's no way he'd let Farmar unfairly ignore him for too long, the guy is probably the most vocal on-the-court superstar in the game.
In tonight's game, Farmar was running a break and Lamar called for it on the wing, while cutting to the hoop, and Farmar ignored him. I wish that was Kobe he ignored, Kobe would've lit his ass up. I hope it happens soon, this habit needs to be broken. Phil and Kobe need to break this young man's habits before they become his game.

I like Farmar, but he does ignore Kobe. If the pass isnt there to Kobe in the post immediately, he turns away from Kobe and goes the other direction everytime. On Friday when they played the Sonics, Kobe was all alone calling for the ball and clapping his hands trying to get Farmars attention and he never even looked Kobe's way. Kobe needs to get on his a$$.
Jordan needs to get his head straight. He needs to realize his role within the team. Earlier on in the season, he was the leader of our second unit because he came in and ran the offense and set up the plays. Occasionally, he may take the open shot or drive to the hoop, but not every single possession. Lately, he seems to think he's a superstar or something. He needs to get his head straight and he needs to understand his role. Also, I'm sure fatigue is starting to set in, and maybe his inexperience and immaturity is also playing a role. Keep in mind this is only his second season in the league. Hopefully Ronny's outburst last night will wake him up. I still believe he can be a very good player for us down the road, but once again, he needs to understand his role and play within himself. He's not a superstar and he shouldn't be acting like one
I missed these plays that you guys are referring to. Any YouTube links would be appreciated. Anyhow, I don't condone selfishness, even from Kobe himself; although wasn't this reaction very similar to that which Kobe received when he was jacking up airballs against the Utah Jazz his rookie year? Once again, I'm not condoning selfishness, but the silver lining is: it's kind of nice to have another player who wants the ball in his hands and isn't afraid to shoot it. This team needs more players with a killer instinct. Of course, if he turns out to be a superstar someday, people will be saying, "I knew it when he would wanted the ball in his hands instead of Kobe's." If he doesn't, he'll be hated for the rest of his days. Hopefully Phil, Kobe, and the rest of the team will put him in his place. But I think we need more time to determine how good he can be.
Yea, I've been noticing this two hes been jacking up to many threes thinking he's either Peja or MJ.This was one of the reason why I loved Crittenton because everytime he played like this Phil will take him out of the game and put J.Critt in.Hopefully we sign a PG in the offseason Navarro?Just to keep Farmar in check.

The amount of talent one has determines how much they should shoot and such.

It wasn't until this season that people began to stop calling Kobe a ballhog and realized he had to shoot because no one else would. That's why I think it's too early to pass judgment at this point because everyone is going to change their minds again depending how good Farmar becomes or doesn't become. I'll start worrying when he shoots more than Kobe or even Lamar.

Why can't we just have a true PG? Every team in the league seems to have one, but us.</div> first statement, who is to say that the Grizzlies wanted Farmer? I'm almost certain they didn't, because they already have Conley and wanted someone who could potentially play beside him, not behind him. Secondly, the lakers have a legit shot for at least these next two years (you know, before Kobe can opt out), and Farmar gives them a better chance in that two year window that JCritt does. JCritt is way to raw to help anytime soon - see 37% FG, 16% 3pt - in extended minutes with the Grizz. Finally, I've never been the biggest Farmar fan, but I dont sense any sort of selfishness on his part. The bench mob are a bunch of scorers. You're gonna say Sasha is selfish too? He chucks it more than Farmar. I have no problem with how he plays offense, his defense does suck though and that is something that needs to be addressed oh, and we play in the triangle, we dont need a true PG. We just need a guy who can DEFEND true PGs
I do think Sasha is selfish. Remember last night the whole 1 on 3 situation with about 22 seconds left on the shot clock? There is a reason why the rest of the team has ripped into these two guys about their selfish play--both Sasha and Farmar think they're premier offensive players in the league that can throw up a heat check, create for themselves, and dominate the ball while they're in the game. They're both, in reality, good role players who need to play within the offense, not try and be the offense.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A day later, Jackson wasn't concerned about the words exchanged by Ronny Turiaf and Jordan Farmar during the Lakers' loss Sunday to Golden State. Most of it was "just chatter," he said. "There's been no residual at all." Instead, he pointed a sardonic finger at Sasha Vujacic. "Most of the irritation [Sunday] night was created by Sasha's foray into the court and shooting one-on-three," he said. "If we had 15 guns on the bench, there would have been 15 holes in Sasha at the moment. Sasha can do that somewhere else but not here. I didn't have to say anything to him. They all jumped on him collectively."</div> Source: http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-lakere...1,6675423.story If Phil doesn't seem too concerned with Farmar, that's good enough for me.
He wasn't concerned with the heated exchange between Turiaf and Farmar. I'm sure Phil and the team had a talk with Farmar.
