Over here I suggested, partially in jest, Darren Collison and Moo2k4 suggests Kevin Love or Tyler Hansbrough.

My Collison comment was owing to the fact that to me, he bears a striking resemblance to Chris Duhon and much has been made of how the Bulls don't have a "true point guard".

In reality, if Hansbrough measures out well, I think he might be a pretty sensible pick. I wrote a little bit a while ago on trying to distinguish shorter PFs who are good (Brand, Boozer, Milsap, etc) from ones that aren't (Shelden Williams, etc).

They both fit the Bulls profile of guys who have the "winning pedigree".

What the Bulls really need, as far as I can tell, is someone who's just amazingly good. Even if we lucked into the top pick in the lottery I'm not sure a guy like Rose or Beasely is a superstar, though I'd certainly take them.

I concur. The Bulls need someone who's amazingly good. Regardless of position. I wouldn't call any position on the floor safe for any of the current players - if we somehow got a Melo type player, Deng would be gone. If we somehow got a Chris Paul type of player, Gordon or Hinrich would be gone. By "gone" I mean, traded or at least relegated to 2nd string type minutes.

Hansbrough would be a reach, maybe you can trade Thomas or someody like that for extra picks, and get him if you really want. I think you shoud try trading Thomas to a team like Pheonix who'll have the 15 pick and a player you can use.

Bulls pick- DeAndre Jordan- I seriously think he'll slip this far, because team will shy away from him being so raw. The guy has HUGE upside, and can end up being a Andre Bynum-type center, it'll take a long time, but at the end it might work out.

    or

Kevin Love- The guy can make jaw dropping passes, you can always trust him with the basketball, and is soooo strong, that he can out muscle anyone in the paint, he gave it to DeAndre pretty good in the tourny game, two nights ago.

15- Darren Collison or DJ Agustin

I like Darren Collison more because of his defense, he might be as good as defender as Rajon Rondo. Theirs very few PG who defend, much less lock-down their opponents. He's also has a nice stroke from outside, and is lightning quick, but his assist:TO will be a problem, sometimes he seems to impatient.

I have almost no interest in Jordan, Randolph, Arthur or McGee. They all look like the quintessential late lottery big-man busts.

For that matter, my early assessment of things is:

Yes Little doubt these guys will be quality players (maybe not stars, but confident they'll "make it" in the league).
    Beasely
    Rose
    Both Lopez guys
    CDR
    Westbrook

Maybe I find these guys interesting and probable yeses but have unanswered questions.
    Mayo
    Bayless
    Gordon
    Love
    Gallinari
    Donte Green
    Rush

No Don't see much chance of them being high quality NBA players you win with.
    Jordon
    Randolph
    Arthur
    McGee
    Augustin
    Hibbert
    Alexander

You're including Robin Lopez in that, but not Mayo or Bayless?

Mayo and Bayless play a positions that aren't their weakest.

I'm pretty sure Lopez would be weaker at PG than he is at whatever he's playing now.

What positions do they play? I'm pretty sure Bayless will be a decent pro, and possibly a star, but I'd really like to know how big he actually is.

Mayo could be a total bust as far as I'm concerned.

Bayless doesn't even have a position

Mayo has a better chance of being a star, than anyone not named Rose or Beasley.

You're saying how Mayo and Bayless aren't playing positions that aren't their weakest. Robin's weakest would probably be PG. He doesn't play PG.

I am in camp trade the pick. Stephen Curry was the only guy that really impressed me, and he's returning to school for another year. Other than that, Charles Douglas Roberts intrigues me, but I wouldn't be too ecstatic about drafting him. Rose/Beasley/Mayo don't do anything for me.

If we land a top 2 pick, I hope that it finds its way to Denver fairly quickly, and Melo finds his way here very quickly.

Really? Having Beasley in the post don't excite you?

The bulls need a slam dunk superstar kind of player with the pick. Or to trade it in combination for that kind of superstar.

Is there a snowball's chance in hell we could land Durant for Deng, Hinrich, and the pick? Deng/Gordon/Pick?

Maybe Deng, Gordon, pick, but Deng and Gordon would have to resign for cheap, and I don't see that happening.
