It will be far from a cake-walk, however, as Philadelphia has played excellent ball as of late. Winners in 17 of their last 22 games, the Sixers are just 1.5 games behind Washington for the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, and have more than enough motivation to pull off an upset against a superior team like the Celtics. Projected Starters C Samuel Dalembert / Kendrick Perkins PF Reggie Evans / Kevin Garnett SF Andre Iguodala / Paul Pierce SG Willie Green / Ray Allen PG Andre Miller / Rajon Rondo Key Matchup: Andre Iguodala vs. Paul Pierce No real explanation needed; these two have had some good-looking battles over the past few years. Early on in Iguodala’s career, he bothered “The Truth” and didn’t allow him to take advantage of his inexperience. This year, however, has been a completely different story. In the three meetings with Philadelphia this season, Pierce has gone for a combined 19.3 points per game on 61% shooting. It’ll be interesting to see if Pierce can light the Sixers up once again. We all know Tommy Heinsohn would enjoy that. Celtics X-Factor: Rajon Rondo While Pierce has had his way with the Sixers all season long, Andre Miller has shown Rajon Rondo up on more than one occasion. Against the Celtics this season, Miller has held averages of 20 points, 6.7 rebounds, and seven assists per game on nearly 45% shooting. Rondo against Philly? Just six points per game on 37.5% shooting. Let’s hope our second-year stud can redeem himself and let Andre Miller know that he doesn’t own him.
