Odom has been playing terrific recently and has stepped it up in the absence of Gasol. He came up huge last night and dominated the game the way he's capable of doing it every night. Hopefully this is the Odom that we see the rest of the season, because if it is, the rest of the West is in a world of trouble when Bynum and Gasol come back healthy.
Lamar has been playing terrific basketball ever since that mishap against Detriot, which was one day before Gasol became a Laker. I don't know why, I guess the Gasol trade finally lit a fire up his ass. I remember back when Lamar couldn't hit a jumper to save his life. Now he's doing it with a hand in his face, he's driving to the rim and actually making his layups. I can't believe his transformation, seems like it happened over night

I wouldn't get too excited about all the rebounds he pulled against the Warriors. The Warriors are good at giving guys career nights.
We aren't getting excited over his ODOMINATION* of the Warriors. He's had a double double in something like 21 of the past 26 games. He's been a rebounding machine since Bynum went down with injury. *Term comes from LG.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Kensaku @ Mar 25 2008, 01:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Okay, I stand corrected.</div> As a Warrior fan, do you feel that you guys can win with the style of ball you play? No rebounders? You guys are such an exciting team and I'd love to see you guys play Phoenix sometime during the playoffs, that'd be one hell of a series.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Answer_AI03 @ Mar 25 2008, 02:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The question is, how will he do when Bynum returns, and moreover, how will the lakers do?</div> Bynum is coming off the Bench when he comes back, he's the one that has to worry about his role due to his injury.
Look at this lineup when healthy First unit: pg: Derek Fisher sg: Kobe Bryant sf: Vladamir Radmanovic pf: Lamar Odom c: Pau Gasol Second unit: pg: Jordan Farmar sg: The Machine sf: Trevor Ariza pf: Ronny Turiaf c: Andrew Bynum Reserves: DJ Mbenga, Ira Newble, Coby Karl, Puke Walton Holy shit we're stacked
Don't expect Bynum to be on the bench for the playoffs. I think Phil will bring Bynum back on the bench, but by the time the playoffs are here, I expect Bynum to start. Derek Fisher / Jordan Farmar Kobe Bryant / Sasha Vujacic Lamar Odom / Trevor Ariza Pau Gasol / Vladimir Radmanovic Andrew Bynum / Ronny Turiaf That is the 10 players I'd like to see the majority of minutes during the playoffs.
Bynum coming back will have no ill effect on Odom. I'd go so far to say it's probably going to help him. If Bynum gets back and is the Bynum we saw pre-injury, Odom could end up being better. Bynum is going to demand attention down on the block and that's going to leave people open, which could lead to better looks for Odom.
Bynum no doubt will get odom better looks, but odom can't shoot. I think having gasol and bynum down low will clog up the paint offensively and actually hurt odom's production.
