At the moment It's probably Fabregas or Walcott. But of all time it has to be 'Iceman' Dennis Bergkamp
Honestly, I don't have one specific favorite player so I'll list any that come to mind. As of right now and in no particular order .. Karim Benzema, Goran Pandev, Niko Kranjčar, Andrei Arshavin, Mateja Kežman and the late François Sterchele.
Clint Dempsey, Oguchi Onyewu, and Shalrie Joseph. Joseph would be a big deal in Europe right now if he was on the USMNT, rather than Grenada.
Nothing against Joseph in the slightest, he's good, but being on the US National Team over Grenada doesn't do anything in terms of European success. Take a look at Guillaume Hoarau who opted to play for the non-FIFA sanctioned Reunion National Football Team over France. He still made it all the way from his micro-African homeland to play for Paris Saint-Germain. The first Reunion player to ever play for such a high class club and be successful in the process. Also note that most European clubs still tend to stray from US National Team players.

But why did he pick rennes, it goes nowhere</div> Guillaume Hoarau never played for Rennes. Excluding youth clubs in Reunion, he's only played for PSG (current), Le Havre and Gueugnon. However, for Rennes what do you mean "it goes nowhere?" Stade Rennais is considered one of the best places to get your career started on the right track. They have great training facilities and youth programs, which have built many players into some of the best in the world. Take a look at this shortlist of players coming through their camp before settling elsewhere. The exclusion of Wiltord who started there too, but has now returned to likely finish his career. Petr Cech (Chelsea) Ousmane Dabo (Lazio) Julien Escude (Sevilla) Alexander Frei (Borussia Dortmund) Yoann Gourcuff (Milan) Kim Kallstrom (Lyon) Anthony Reveillere (Lyon) Mickael Silvestre (Man United) Sylvain Wiltord (Rennes)
Oh Reunion, I guess he chose the country because he's loyal? lol I couldn't really tell you. The country is only involved in small tournaments like the Indian Ocean Games, which they've won three times.
