Wilt when he was 35 averaged 19.2 rpg for 82 games, and when he was 36 averaged 18.6 rpg for 82 games. Dwight who is leading the league in rebounding, and considered a tough rebounder is averaging a mere 14.5 rpg. Camby (13.5), Chandler (12.2), etc. It just surprizes me how Wilt could be such a dominant rebounder at such a late age. (even when compared to guys like Dwight & Marcus Camby)
You have to realize his time. There weren't as many 6'11+ guys in the league, and even then, there wasn't as many who had arms as long as Wilt and who could jump as high as Wilt. Times have changed. Who knows what Dwight, Marcus, Tyson could have done back then. Just as...who knows how Wilt would do now.
Not just bigmen. Imagine Kobe or Lebron if they played back then. I wouldn't be surprised if they averaged 50PPG through their careers.
