Michael Grange, the best Raptors reporter working in Toronto, has recently decided that Jose Calderon should be our point guard moving forward:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"...the endless debate over the relative merits of Jose Calderon and T.J. Ford will be settled only when Ford is traded. It's the only sensible thing to do.</div>

In addition to Grange, Doug Smith, Dave "Get Worked Up!" Feschuk, and various radio and internet personalities have joined this chorus.

I know Bryan Colangelo doesn't give one sweet f--- about what these guys want or what they think is best, but the negative attention could weigh on TJ, and that could affect his game. We've seen the fans at the ACC start to jeer him for nothing already.

Our media killed Rafer Alston but now he is one of the key reasons the Rockets are the hottest team in basketball. This isn't the same situation exactly but it is damn familiar.

It is no real surprise that Jose is the preferred player in Toronto.

The Toronto media, or fan base, has never supported the type of personality that TJ has.

I'm hitting on a touchy subject here, and I'm certainly not taking a stance of my own, but Jose is a better match with the media and fan base of this city. That much I know.
