<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>So, I was informed by the league office that the NBA DOES NOT voluntarily release its opinion or analysis about controversial judgment calls. The offensive foul ref Bob Delaney called on Monta Ellis is considered a judgment call. The NBA only volunteers its analysis for specific rules violations or in serious circumstances. The league does, however, share its findings on controversial calls when a member of the media asks. So I asked. And Stu Jackson answered. “We did review,” he said Tuesday. “The call was incorrect.” “After looking at the play, the foul was on (Derek) Fisher and not (Monta) Ellis. It appeared that Fisher pulled Ellis down.” There you have it.</div> http://www.ibabuzz.com/warriors/ Seriously, Stu Jackson needs to shut the **** up. It was a bad call, big deal, get over it. Is it just me, or does this man have some personal grudge against the Lakers? I have seen plenty of calls just as bad, or maybe even worse than "Monta's foul," yet he doesn't even open his mouth (see Derek Fisher offensive foul against Cleveland, Wade in the NBA Finals). It seems like the only time he ever opens his mouth is to say something negative about the Lakers. What about all those "unnatural basketball acts" that were committed? The only player he's ever suspended for those "acts" was Kobe. Dude seriously needs to lay off the hate
You have nothing to complain about. The Lakers won the game, this is largely irrelevant other than it adds one measley "incorrect" tally onto Delaney's (who is a pretty damn good ref and a lock to be in the POs) record. They regularly review calls like this and I believe its just Bay Area writers confirming with the league that it was ruled to be an incorrect call. Normally they don't get publicized at all but because there was such an uproar, Bay Area writers wanted to get the scoop, sell more papers, etc. I think everyone is over it by now except fans.
