Tough loss, on to the next one. Hey, Kobe can't do it all. Even God had imperfections, he made women...didn't he?
Phil's post game, should be great. Unusual night for us.. Good to see Kobe attack... He just basically said the other guys are mentally weak and rely on Kobe too much...if you want to exaggerate it...like I am. Fisher is hesitant out there... We had our opportunities... Defense... Stop fouling...
I didn't even notice the box score, Lamar playing sick, had 11 AST and 11 REB. I'm starting to like this guy again.
It seems like we're playing at a disllusioned level. Sure, Kobe got his 53 and it was exciting to see him play at a high level in the first half last night, however we can throw the excuse card all we want that we're still nursing injuries with Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum, but championship contending teams figure out a way to battle through that challenge, and ESPECIALLY rise to the occasion to beat up on teams we're supposed to beat. That's where I worry the most about this year's team. What is our identity? Where is the killer instinct? We are gonna make the playoffs, and I feel it's guaranteed we will, but last night I think we got a bit exposed.

This team also doesn't seem to take certain games seriously, such as the game prior to this.

I just don't understand the lack of a killer instinct against lesser opponents. It's not like we don't have something to play for at this moment. We'll see how it goes Sunday against Washington, but if these back-to-back losses plummet us from the top seed to a six seed at worst, these losses will be devastating to say the least.
I'm not really going to comment too much on this loss, except for the fact that it was extremely disappointing. We let two very winnable games slip, first against the Bobcats, and now against the Grizzlies. One thing that really frustrates me is the amount of three pointers we took. Ever heard of the phrase, you live or die by the three? It seems like we're starting to live or die by the three. Sasha, and Jordan especially, have to stop being so chuck happy beyond the arch. I don't mind it when Kobe does it, because he actually makes a decent percentage of these shots. Phil needs to tell them to attack the paint and stop playing such pussy defense. It's amazing how great we made the Grizzlies look out there. Oh, and btw, nice brain fart by Luke at the end. Should've called a time out, but it's not like I'm really surprised. Mr. Basketball IQ needs to start studying the game again.
