I met Scalabrine and KMart back in the 7th grade when my elementary school played on the CAA court before one of the Nets games. We saw them walking in one of the back hallways near the locker rooms. Tall as hell in person.

I played against Hot Sauce once. Actually, I'm sort of ashamed to admit that.

I also walked up to Billy Edelin, when he was playing in a Summer league near my high school. Oh, and Josh Wright was in one of my classes at my community college.

Yeah, I guess I'm not all that cool. Lame.

5 on 5 pick up game. Hot Sauce could not do a move without doing a travel/double dribble. His shooting was okay, and he was pretty fast. He made my dad look like a fool. Shook up a couple guys. But didn't really impress anyone, more annoyed people than entertained.

Oh, and a couple 40+ guys played 2-2 against Sauce. He teamed with this other dude who's mad good, went to a college somewhere in New York and was the leading scorer at like 16 ppg or something, and has MAD hops and a pretty good jumper. The 40+ guys smacked. It was mad funny.

I played him one on one. It was pretty cool. He shook me up a bit, and I ended up droppin 4 points on him, but he ended up winning 7-4. I kept reaching and fouling him, it was pretty funny. Hot Sauce is buns.

Meanwhile, my friend got blown out, 7-0. And he's faster than me, has a better shot, and can jump higher.
