    Tracking the Nets’ Draft Scouting
March 31, 2008, 3:00 pm It’s a given that some of the Nets’ brass will in San Antonio this weekend taking a look at how some of the top draft prospects play under the brightest glare. But where else have they been and who have they been looking at? Starting with UConn’s Hasheem Thabeet a month ago, we’ve been tracking what prospects the Nets have scouted. We’re keeping a list and checking it twice.

    He's a lock as a lottery pick-up so he's definitely coming out.

He'll be picked in the top 5 imo. Maybe trade picks + player?

I saw the picture of Thabeet, and nearly fainted.

I've said it before: Please, no Thabeet.

I saw this thing on ESPN a while ago and it was this 15 min thing on Mayo and I'm 90% sure they said he went to Junior College and they even had a whole highlight reel on it but I can't find anything about it on the internet now so I'm not so sure anymore. I'll keep looking.

A college player can not be considered a freshman if he played in JuCo.

OJ did not play at or attend a Junior College

I actually like Thabeet. I don't think he'll be a bust at all. It's kinda hard to be a bust when all you do is block shots and rebound. Last time we had a dude from Africa over 7'0 tall we went to the Finals [IMG] . If Mutombo can teach him the finger wag he'll be set.

We need to take the best shooter available, regardless of origin. Too bad Curry's not coming out. I'm crossing my fingers for Douglass-Roberts or Budinger.
