Better version of Brian Cook
I love this man. He has really improved since coming to the Lakers, he's been working under Kareem, I believe. I'm not going to lie, I would love to lock him up at the end of the year on a multi-year deal worth anywhere from 1.5-2 million/year. I think he can be a very good backup C to Andrew Bynum for years to come. First of all, I think he's the hardest working role player on the team. He hustles up and down court, the whole time he's in the game. He's a defensive presence, and he's displayed a very nice touch on his jumper and hooks. If we can get him to stop fouling, I think he'd be another Ronny Turiaf...with less range, better defense, and at the C position. I think this man has earned a shot to be on this team again, next year. I'd take him over Mihm.

But even if he doesn't improve, he's fairly young and can play hard, he is a big body, and if the Lakers can sign him cheap for a couple of years at a 1 mill, then I'd say he'd be worth it. Even just as a 3rd tier center, and let Mihm go. He probably will learn the Lakers' defensive scheme better and how to rotate on plays properly if he was there for a while. If he doesn't work out, a lot of teams look for big men and at a million bucks per year that is a steal. (Unlike Kwame at 9 mill lol)</div> http://sportstwo.com/forums/index.php?s=&a...t&p=1551797 If they can sign him to a 3 year deal for 4.5 mill, they should go for it.

My god, the arc he puts on his shot makes MJ's look like shit. DJ is the man. I love what he has being doing for the Lakers. Great pick-up.
Yeah Mamba, Dacos is working with Kareem. It's amazing how great of a teacher Kareem is. He has made every single one of our bigs better. Chris Mihm showed a major improvement in his game before suffering that nasty injury. Obviously everyone knows how great of a job he's done with Bynum, I don't even have to go there. Now, it seems like he's helping Dacos improve his game as well. I remember when we first signed him, a lot of people said he was alright defensively, but not much of an upgrade over Kwame offensively. But thanks to Kareem's tutoring, he's actually finding a nice groove on offense. Kareem is an amazing teacher, and hopefully he can continue to help this organization for years to come. Kwame looks like a dumbass for rejecting Kareem's help. What a bum. And to think, we're only paying Dacos around 1 million for this production, while we paid Kwame 9 million... BRILLIANT!
