Let's assume the Nets get some luck in the lottery and land the #2 pick.

The #1 pick turns out to be Beasley.

With the #2 pick do you draft Rose, take the next available big because you may never get this high a pick to draft an impact big (Lopez?), draft a combo guard like Bayless, or do you reach a little at #2 and draft the best wing available (Mayo, Gallineri)?

Personally, I'd take Rose, trade Marcus, and either eventually move Harris to SG or see if I could land something really good in a trade for him.

Take the best talent (Rose) and then sort out the rest with trades.

rose...then take a banger who can provide points inside like hansbrough or jawai (2nd rd) and a shooter like rush or roby (2nd rd)...i would also waste that 2nd rd pick and take pekovic in case he wants to make a jump to the nba in the future if he is still on the board...

No brainer man. Take the best talent available.

I've been wanting to draft O.J. Mayo since the beginning of the season. But, at 2nd pick I would have to go with Kevin Love if he comes out. He reminds me so much of Tim Duncan and he's an amazing passer. He's not big or fast, and he doesn't really do anything amazingly well other than pass but somehow he's always around the ball getting rebounds, outlet passing, and he's also got range. I hate Tim Duncan b/c he and his team are so unbelievably boring but when it comes down to it look at the championships he's won (including against us).

Draft Rose and trade him for talent.
