To be honest, I never really gave the Beatles much of a listen. I thought they were like too "old fashioned" for me, but I did like most of the songs I've heard from them though. I'll probably check out some of their greatest hits stuff I kind of like the Smashing Pumpkins song you posted. What I do want to say though, the Beatles spanned so many years that their music changed drastically. Personally, I don't like too much of their pre-'67 music. Only really Abbey Road, the White Album, etc. have ever been good music to me, but that's the thing about the Beatles. They have so much to offer that it's hard for someone to not find at least one song they really like out of their catalogue. SP's a great band in that they really captured the apathy and "I don't give a fuck" feel of early 90's music with catchy melodies written along with the lyrics. It's mainstream, somewhat poppy music that has depth, almost like grunge lite. But anyway, I'll clear the floor for more people to talk. I just really love talking music...

one of the all time great rock songs that is truly unoticed: 13th Floor Elevators- You're Gonna Miss Me if you're into the Beatles, you should check out the band Gomez. they have 3 different singers, and have done like nearly every genre of music. one of my favorites; seen them live around 20 times now. a few reommendations: Bunea Vista Get Myself Arrested Get Miles Bring It On Waster Shot Shot Army Dub How We Operate (this one was on Grey's Anatomy) I will add another post in this thread tommorow with a wide variety of goodies
