<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'> Summer Changes Should Be Made to Run April 1, 2008, 9:37 pm In answering mail, Dave D’Alessandro makes some suggestions for the Nets in the upcoming offseason: guys who can run and shoot, and an assistant coach that will preach the transition game, in order to get the most out of Devin Harris’ speed. Dave also looks at the possibilities of DeSagana Diop (who just wants to win) and Boki Nachbar (who may get more money than you think) returning. Classic Dave here <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>DD: Why aren't Hassell and Swift playing much? Mark Thompson MT: Because the coach wants to win.</div>

Personally, I found Dave's mailbag to be...interesting. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Hey, Dave D: Now that you got your wish and got Frank back for another year, tell me this - what can he do to become a better coach (he asked hopefully)? Barry G. BG: Odd, the only time I recall having any "wish" regarding someone's job status was when I called for the firing of every last peawit employed inside the beltway. As for what Lawrence can do, start with this: Press management for <u>a fleet-footed wing walker</u> and <u>a guy with parking lot range</u>, and then when they arrive, press management for <u>another runner</u> and <u>another shooter</u>. Because with the weapon they have at the point now, that is the way they must play, unless the coach is as dense as you believe him to be. Second, when management suggests he adds <u>an assistant coach who loves, teaches, and rhapsodizes about the transition game</u> -- because there is very likely to be a vacancy on the staff this summer, from my understanding -- he should embrace him.</div> Firstly, who would those guys be that Dave is describing? We've seen before that we suck at picking up good shooters. Does Kiki make a difference with finding good shooters? Oh, and what assistant coach would we pick up? Someone from Denver, Golden State, or Phoenix? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'> Hi, Dave: Even though Thorn says Mr. Frank is coming back. . . .let's say, perhaps he may not. And if not, do you have any suggestions or preferences for a new coach for these guys? I still think it's a shame Mr. Jordan went to Washington. Mo Et tu, Mo? .... I'm not going to bother making suggestions about a change that won't take place (until at least December, anyway), but if I had to make up a short list of guys I want to see become head coaches for the first time within the next five years, it would include <u>Tom Thibodeau, Mike Malone, Eric Snow, Jacque Vaughn, Bruce Bowen, Darrick Martin, Scott Brooks, Darrell Armstrong, and Alex English.</u> </div> I thought this was really interesting. First of all, no thanks to Bruce. Second, I'd like Darrell, Snow, Thibodeau!, and Malone. Not sure about the others. Oh, and I'm with Mo on Mr. Jordan.
Bruce Bowen for team trainer/strength and conditioning coach lol. As for coaching philosophies I can't recommend what Frank should add to the Nets repertoire since I rarely know what he's trying to do in half the games I see.
