It seems that Carter will be getting surgery done on his ankle over the offseason that has bothered him a lot this season. I'm not sure if this will affect him in a good or bad way but I hope it somehow gives him his leaping ability back and he comes back next year with a chip on his shoulder from people like Magic Johnson talking all this mess about him no longer being a superstar. What are your expectations for VC next year?
He will start next year's season much stronger compared to this year. I expect him to make it to the All-Star team next year, because i am sure he has a chip on his shoulder for not making it this year. We will see more of his leaping ability, and the offense revolved around him more, as suppose to RJ. I expect him to average around 24 PPG.
Hopefully he plays with passion and desire from the begging of the season to the end. Not in late march when we are down to our necks.

The past 2 months he's averaged up around 30ppg. That would probably make him the scoring champ and MVP.
He'll average more points. The same or more in assists and rebounds. He'll make the all-star team and hustle like he did since Kidd got traded. He'll also be the Finals MVP. Okay, maybe not finals mvp.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I expect him to play as well next year as he has in the final 2 months of the season this year.</div> Why? Carter feels it's necessary to play well when there's only 12-15 games left in the season. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I expect him to make it to the All-Star team next year, because i am sure he has a chip on his shoulder for not making it this year.</div> I'm sure he's losing sleep over not making it this year. With the way he played 90% of the season; he didn't even deserve to be considered an All-Star selection.
If Vince is serious about being a leader than he has to play like he has been the last 2 months for the entire season. He is doing it with ease and if he gives effort he can do it for a whole seaoson.. The last 9 games he's averaging 30.3 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 5.4 apg, 48.5 FG% 47.7 3P% 84.1 FT% The last 11 games he's averaging 29.1 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 5.0 apg, 50.3 FG%, 43.8 3P%, 86.5 FT% Vince has shown he can do that every night when he's motivated so I expect that from him. he probably won't do that next season but that is what I expect. He'll most likely have a better season next year than this season though. The Kidd trade helps VC because it may actually motivate him to be a leade rand VC plays better without Kidd because Vince likes to have the ball and create his own shot. Maybe Magic and Charles comments have motivated him too plus the ankle surgery will make him healthy. if he's doing what he's doing right now on a bad ankle then that is truly amazing.
is his surgery goin to be just to clean up some bone chips or something? or is it a major invasive procedure? i have a feeling its a minor surgery... like a same day procedure :/
The last 2 months (18 games) he's averaged 23.9 points, 7.3 points 4.6 assists 45% FG%, 37% 3P% That's playing his best basketball. Next season look for 22, 6 and 4.5 with around the same shooting %. That's it.

I think it's important to look at factors besides injuries <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Carter?€™s New Role: Leader April 6, 2008, 3:13 pm Since Jason Kidd went south (in so many ways), it?€™s been up to Vince Carter to fill a lot of voids on the Nets.
