Well, since this thread seems doomed to continue into an examination of racial/ethnic/nationalist attitudes rather than GM strategies, I might as well add this. I think Yi may actually be available at a cheaper price than his true value in part due to bias against him. The first thing that happened to him when he came over is everyone waited with bated breath for someone to dunk on him. And opposing players wanted to be that person with their highlight on Youtube. You can now find that highligh on Youtube. The same thing happened to Yao. These guys were expected to be man-handled. I think there was a biased factor to that. I think both Yao and Yi are tough enough to take these attitudes, adjust their games, and be all the more effective because of it. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I do think Milwaukee is a terrible place for him, though, both on the court and off. As Joey has pointed out, they already have Villanueva - why do they want another scoring PF who attacks from the outside in?

For the record, i am not racist. why in the world would i be racist? im spanish from spain and americans think im "mexincan", can you answer me why? why do they think all hispanic and spanish people are mexican? Just like they think all asians are chinese? i have white skin dark brunette hair and hazel eyes, and i dont look mexican at all. Dont tell me im racist because im not. Claud read my post... for the 100th time I am from China.. I am from Overseas. And yes, I believe there is nationality Bias, but I am NOT nationality biased Nor or my friends. Not all people are nationality biased. And like Joey said only around 5%... so dont assume that people are.

But the way Claud asked it, it seemed like everyone living overseas IS nationality biased. Anyway... everbody over-reacted... in addition... THIS POST WAS MERE SPECULATION. rather saying people have nationality bias, I rather you say people have FAN BIAS. I mean look at Arenas, he almost got into the all-star game without playing any games this year..... He was like 3rd in gaurds in the East.. lol.. That was bias. And he is American. everytime you say "people overseas... people overseas" What? does it matter? so youre saying people overseas are more likely to be biased?... almost everybody is biased towards their favourite player. Not just nationality wise. Why isnt Wang Zhi Zhi an all-star?
